'Kassy, I'm just really glad you're fine. I'm sorry I haven't come to see you; schoolwork has been very hectic for me.' He let me go.
'I'm just glad we can have this conversation.' I smiled.
He sat down and stared at my belly; I knew he knew.
'Dad says you're pregnant but he won't tell me how. Did anything happen during your kidnap?' He asked.
Mum was staring hard at me like she was ready to jump on anything I said.
'Yes. Some things happened but I am fine.' I said.
'Really? You want to keep a kidnapper's baby? Did you want this?'
The last thing I wanted was to talk about my pregnancy.
'Barney, please, I have this baby now,' I held my belly, 'and I want to keep it. If my mum put you up to talking to me, tell her I made my mind up and there was nothing you could say to change it.' I looked at mum.
She laughed.
