'I need to go home. And this must stay between us.' I grabbed my bag and stood in front of Michael, waiting for him to verbally reassure me.
'Won't you stay for breakfast? I put a lot of work into it.' He stood up.
'Tell me you won't tell anyone about this.' I demanded.
'What difference is that going to make? This isn't high school, who am I possibly going to tell?' He walked past me.
He was right, there was no one for him to tell.
'At least tell me you used protection.' I held his arm.
'I don't anticipate sex; I didn't have any available.'
My heart skipped. That was bad news. I took my phone from the side table and opened my period tracking app. I was ovulating.
'Michael, do I need to panic?' I showed him my phone.
'You can just take the morning after pill, why are you making this a big deal?' He walked out of the room.
'I'm breastfeeding!' I shouted and followed him.
