He laughed.
'I'm sorry, did I say something?' I asked.
'No. It's just the way you pronounced my name, it's not quite right.' He pointed to the chair as a signal for me to sit.
'I'm sorry, I just haven't heard it before, and Mauve tells me you're Nigerian.' I said.
'Yes, I am. It's pronounced Ayor.' He said.
I nodded and looked at Mauve, she was smiling.
Lunch with Ayo and Mauve was very nice. It was like we were a group of friends that had known each other for years.
'Your son is really cute and he looks just like you.' He said.
'I don't see it but everyone says that. I think he looks more like his dad.'
'His dad? Are you not married?' Ayo leaned forward.
'Oh, yes, I'm married to him. I just tend to refer to him as 'dad.'' I laughed.
'Alicia, did you talk to Billy yet?' Mauve asked.
