Nate had a million and one questions but I could not blame him, he needed to catch on and everything was happening too fast.
'He'll be back in three weeks, and he calls all the time.'
'Alicia, I did not ask when he'll be back or if he calls. I want to know why he left you at such a crucial time.' Nate said.
'He had work in California, and I can't ask him to quit his job for me. And we need the money.'
'Alicia, I'm just glad you and Kolin are fine.' He stood up and dragged me up with him before giving me the warmest hug he had ever given me.
'I miss you so much, Nate. I wish things turned out differently.' I whispered in his ears.
'Me too. I wish I could be there for Kassy and mum now that they need me the most.'
