I sat down that afternoon with Alicia and had lunch, I had salad and grilled chicken. I enjoyed my moment with her, I laughed and talked. It was almost like I felt everything was going to change.
'You can ask for a new therapist, you know?' Alicia said that night before I went to bed.
'I know but I'm too attached to Jacob.'
I liked how your name sounded. I liked saying it, but that feeling did not last, I was about to meet the real you.
I woke up the next day with a raging headache. All of the staying awake was finally getting to me.
'You don't have to leave today, you know?' Alicia wanted company.
She had been getting very lonely and any opportunity she had to relate with people, she took it.
'Mum is going to get worried.' I said.
'Speaking of mum, don't speak to her about Nate, please.'
Up until she spoke about Nate, I had forgotten about everything Mauve said.
'I won't.' I reassured her.
