Chapter 104 - Unavoidable Helplessness

The new salon I went to was clean and very orderly. It was also very big so workers did not bump into each other. Each workstation had the exact same tools so there was no need to wait for the dryer or straightener. It was unlike any salon I had been in.

'Good afternoon, please come with me.' 

There were a lot of workers sitting by the entrance and as a client walked in, one person stood up and attended to that client, when the worker finished, they went back to sit at the entrance and wait for another client.

'Hi.' I said and walked with her.

She took me to one of the chairs and asked me to sit and like she was being controlled, she said:

'I am Liz, I'll be styling you today, do you want to go through our brochure or do you have what you want in mind?'

It was funny but I understood it was the way things were done in that salon.
