'Don't you want to come in for dinner? I think my mum made mac and cheese.' I stood at the entrance to the living room with the door open behind me.
He smiled and peeped in.
'It is really tempting but I promised my mum I'll be home in time for dinner.' He moved away from me.
'Goodnight George.' I walked into the house and closed the door behind me.

Like I had suspected, mum was making her famous mac and cheese. Frank was not in the living room and Alicia was in the kitchen talking to mum. They were laughing about something when I walked in.
'Hey you. I see you and George are friends again.' Mum said.
'Where did you go?' Alicia asked.
'We went to Emily's, then we went to the coffee shop and just spent the rest of the day at the park. We had a lot to catch up on.' I pulled out a stool from beneath the table and sat down.
'It's nice to see you're socializing with your friends sweetheart. But you might need to make more friends.' Mum was stirring the macaroni on the stove.
