I went downstairs to get myself a glass of water and saw a group of people in the sitting room discussing in low tones.
Emily was among them but she was not crying neither did she look sad, she was laughing in fact.
Alicia was also part of them and she saw me walk into the kitchen so she followed me.
'Hey you, how are you holding up?' She asked.
'Oh you know, well.'
'Kassy, you have a hickey.' She reached out and touched my neck.
I had never gotten a hickey before but I saw a lot of it during high school. There was no way I could lie my way out of it, I had to come clean to Alicia.
'I was with Anthony.' I said.
'Who is Anthony?' She whispered and smiled.
'Lily's cousin. It's nothing.'
'When did this happen? I didn't notice it at the church.' She laughed out.
Alicia was like that. She wanted me to go out more and explore but I could not. I did not have it in me to socialize with people so much that I goof around with them.
'It was just now, it was also very awkward.'
