When Jessie remembered that Melissa requested to take one of the whips, his heart hurt even much more than the pain he could feel in his back. He could not stand up but he requested in a whispering tone that Jose should beat him with the very last whip that was meant for Melissa. It would be bearable for him but he was not sure if Melissa deserved to go through such pain. He would rather take the whip than watch her experience the pain he was experiencing.
"Sir, Elio already disconnected the call." The gang member handling the video coverage told Jose, distracting him from answering Jessie at that time. Jose found out as a surprise because he was not expecting him to hang up at any point if he was curious to see what would happen to Melissa.
"Are you serious about that?" Jose asked once again.
"Yes, boss." The gang member confirmed.
