Matteo left the office after resisting the urge to tell the doctor that it was not nice seeing his face again.
He went back to Elio's ward. It was not a bit of a surprise when he saw him standing just beside the window. The same position he was in before Matteo left the room.
"You good?" Matteo asked when he came in.
"Yes, I guess. Have you seen my wristwatch? I just noticed that I haven't seen it anywhere since the incident. Did you keep it while I was unconscious?" Elio asked.
"Your wristwatch?" Matteo asked, wondering why something of mere value could seem important to his brother at such a crucial moment.
"yes. I got it about a month ago and I am sure that I was wearing it that night. It is a Sunnto 7 black lime watch and it cost about six hundred dollars. It was tightly strapped to my wrist so I don't understand how it would have fallen off for real." Elio continued with his rant.
