Unlike Elio who was easygoing, hated drama, and loved to move solo, his brothers were the complete opposite.
If Elio had gone down as Jose and his boys had initially planned, I'd have given them enough time to strike the other two easily, because they'd need each other to be able to come up with a plan. They were both strong-headed and always wanted to be at the forefront of everything.
Though they can be quite indecisive when it concerns crucial times, the combination of the three of them to fight a cause is undefeatable, and this was what Jose and his boys had experienced in their last operation.
Jose and his team had pictured the whole scenario and imagined how it'd turn out but had failed woefully at it.
The plan was to eliminate Elio, subject his brothers to an emotional breakdown, and strike immediately; giving them no space to mourn their brother properly. Easy peasy, or so they thought.
