One sip. Two.
Two gulps. Three, and he had downed the whole bottle of wine just in one sitting.
It was past 3 am when sleep found him and right in his study room, he had dozed off.
His phone beeped incessantly from Dahlia's messages to the hospital calling to find out why he hasn't reported working and that was when he saw that it was past ten in the morning.
As quickly as he could, he had showered and some clothes on as he hurried down to the hospital and now, he was on the road trying to complete a thirty minutes ride in five minutes!
His phone beeped for the umpteenth time with Dahlia's message popping up on the screen.
"Sir, Mr. Elio's brother is here to see you concerning his brother's scan. Do I tell him to wait or leave and check-in later when you'd be in the hospital?"
The message read.
"Hey, Siri!" He called out to his phone.
"I'm here." The iPhone assistant responded.
