Dominic woke up to the sound of his phone ringing. He cleared away the sleep from his eyes by moving his palm across his face, finally letting kg rest on his mouth as he yawned. By the time he was done, his phone had stopped ringing. He brought out the phone and saw that it was his eldest son, Matteo who had called him. He was just about to call him back when his call came in again. Dominic picked it up at once.
"Hey, son," Dominic asked.
"Dad, where are you?" Matteo asked immediately after he heard his father's voice. Dominic snorted at the question. Why is everyone treating him like a baby these days?
"Why, young man?" Dominic asked his son.
"Haven't you heard anything yet?" Matteo asked.
Was the Vermin leader already dead?
"No. I haven't heard anything," Dominic told his son and waited for Matteo to break the news of Jose's death to him.
