Chapter 52 - Chapter fifty two

The hitman sat down in a corner of the cell, thinking about how it had been three days, yet, no one from the Vermin Cartel visited him nor had they brought words for him. Could it be that they hadn't found out he has been arrested? He shook his head at the thought immediately. The agreement had been for him to finish off the target and meet back with the leader of the Vermin Cartel at the hotel that night. They had also made arrangements that if he couldn't find his way back to the hotel that night because of an unseen occurrence, he would make sure a letter got to his hirer. So, the man had to know something was wrong that night. When he hadn't appeared for another two days, the leaser should have known that h had either been captured or killed. Or perhaps, the leader was looking for the police station he was kept in since there are hundreds of stations in Miami. All he had to do was be patient for a few more days when someone would be someone from the cartel would rescue him.
