Chapter 7 - The Oath of Revenge

Zoraar fumed with anger in the main spaceship, clutching his fists tightly. Vroom along with the other alien soldiers stared at him. Bakaar and Zokaar were twins.

"What do you think? Master will not be happy with this?" Vroom hissed.

Zoraar didn't answer. He was standing upright, his back toward them. His chin was touching his collarbone; he could not face them, and neither could raised his head to talk to them.

"Do you know that we lost to that petty race? The Yakshas? What will you tell him now, huh? That you couldn't face them despite being the head of the mission. Our commander!" said Vroom.

A hologram-like figure appeared behind them. The spaceship's lights flickered drastically. "My Zoraar! In his hologram form, you have failed me this time…," said Zorawar.

"I expected so much from you, but… you have failed me! Your outmost mission was to find the mystical bracelet. It belonged to us. But, you… you have disappointed me. I had put too much faith in you. I thought you were special, different, and eligible soldier for this mission. Do you even know that the asuri bracelet is so much powerful that it can itself destroy this universe at once? It is as powerful as a divyastra."

Zoraar turned and knelt in front of him, his head still staring at the floor. "M-My Lord. We were attacked by the Yaksha clan. There are the heavenly beings, the mundane call them nature spirits. The Yakshas attacked us and trapped us in their Loka. I tried to negotiate with them but…" Zoraar didn't speak further; he was hesitant.

"Oh, The Yakshas! But, the yakshas don't have the bracelet," said Zorawar.

"W-What? Master? Where is it? The Yakshas did tell us they had the bracelet in their cave, in their treasure. They said it belonged to their lord, Kubera!" Vroom mumbled.

"Hmm. You're right, Vroom. But the bracelet is not in the territory of the Yaksha clan. It now belongs to the mundane. The bracelet chooses its bearer. The mystical bracelet has chosen a mundane."

"Bakar! Come near the flag..." Zoraar ordered. His eyes were glued to the glittering silvery flag with a symbol - a triquetra. It was an ancient symbol that consisted of three interconnected arc shapes which formed what was known as a trinity knot.

Bakar, the alien soldier walked toward the flag. The flag was attached to the spaceship's wall.

"This symbol is the sign of our victory. But we have failed... My dear, Zorawar. Bakar! Burn the flag."

Zorawar lifted his head and stared with his eyes bulging widely. He was staring at the flag as did the others.

Bakar didn't stop, he pulled the trigger of his gun and fired at it. The energy beam darted toward the flag and struck it. The flag was burning rapidly. Vroom didn't speak either. He was staring blankly at the flag ignited by his soldier. He didn't want this to happen. He wanted his Master, Zoraar to punish Zorawar, torture him or at least exile him from their planet. But instead, his Master ordered Bakar to burn down their flag, their prestige, their pride. Zorawar paced toward the flag and pulled it down on the floor. Zoraar glared at him with his real eye.

Zorawar wrapped his hands around it as if he was hugging it. He dusted it with all his force. Vroom gaped at the scene in front of him. Zorawar had successfully extinguished the fire. He kissed the flag and stood up. He walked toward Zoraar and knelt on his knees. The flag was wrapped in his hands.

"Don't worry, Master! This time I will not fail you. Either I will hoist the flag of our victory or rather be dead wrapped in my holy flag," Zorawar said.

Zoraar smirked. He pulled him up at his arm's length. "My Dear, Zorawar. I know you will not fail me this time. Go find the ring before the human has gained control over it. We only have 111 moon nights, if you fail in this mission. The bearer will gain full control over the mystical bracelet and become the most powerful human in this world."

Vroom gulped again," M-Master! What happens if the human can gain control over that bracelet?"

"He will be invincible. First, he will become invincible and then gain the strength of 10 asuras at once, compared to 100 bulls in human terms."

Zoraar turned toward Zorawar, "I am counting on you, my dear, Zorawar. Find this human and get the mystical bracelet from him as soon as possible..."

"Yes, Master! I will get your bracelet as soon as possible. It will be in your hands before the next Eclipse night," Zorawar declared.

Zoraar's hologram dissipated into fine dust. Zorawar marched toward the spaceship's control room. Vroom glared at him. Zoraar's hologram appeared in front of Vroom. He backed off and bowed. "M-Master? I thought you were gone."

Zoraar leaned forward.

"Vroom. I have a job for you. You have to keep an eye on Zorawar. I hope you will not disappoint me like Zorawar," Zoraar hugged Vroom. He was flustered by his master's gesture. Zoraar's hologram vanished again.

Prepare yourself, Zorawar. I am coming for you. Pack your bags. Vroom is coming for you my dear commander, Zorawar, he thought happily.

The spaceship soared high in the galaxy. Vroom walked to a chamber with his assistants, Bakar and Zokaar. "The tables have turned, Bakar and Zokaar. Zorawar went out of control because of the support of Zoraar, but not anymore. Now, once I find the mystical bracelet. I will unmask him before the dakshi clan and show everyone his true face."

Vroom placed his right hand on a reddish glowing monitor which opened a door to another corridor in the spaceship.

"We're with you. We'll help you find the mystical bracelet," said Zokaar.

"If we could do this without much great effort, it would be great," Vroom mumbled.

Vroom clicked a button on his gauntlet and a hologram screen popped up in view. A screen showed the faces, and identities of various alien soldiers.

"I'm looking for a special Dakshi for this task, Bakar and Zokaar."

He scrolled the screen several times. "Someone that can sense the aura of the bracelet. Someone that can follow the aura of the bracelet and get to it," said Vroom.
