In kaupang there was a large feast in the hall as the Vikings ate,laughed and talked with each other, Olaf was sitting looking at all the festivities that was happening.
After awhile he stood up and all the noise in the hall died down and all the attention turn to Olaf who spoke 'to all of you who have made it, I wish to thank you for joining me on this raid, and all the allies as well, this raid will will take west for that is our future, for I see that our attack will be in a kingdom of of east frankia a city called Bremen where it will be our target my people this will be the first road where we will attack the west on this large numbers, we have 360 ships that will go and I promise all of you that there will be treasures beyond your imagining,' to which got cheers loudest was Ragnar.
Olaf continued 'I promise all of you glory that will get the notice of the gods and they will shine on us as we achieve greatnesses something that our fathers and their fathers have never done."
which got even louder cheers 'when your time for Valhalla comes your story's of greatness will put those before you to shame, for Odin and for Valhalla!' And they all chanted the same quotes and Olaf said 'prepare for soon we leave to Bremen.'
He then walked as all the Vikings prepared for the journey. Olaf walked with his family to the docks, Sigurd,gyda,Astrid and the baby in her arms who was named ubba,when he reached , he looked at gyda and said 'my daughter take good care of yourself, and help your mother look after your little brother,' to which she replied 'don't worry father I will good luck on your raid,' which left the father smiling he looked to his oldest son and said 'look after our family your the man of the house now,' to which he replied 'I will,' he looked to his wife and son and said 'I will go for now, I leave the ruling to you but you already do most of the time don't you,' too which she said 'it's good you already,' they kissed and Olaf walked away to the main ship and said 'let's leave to Bremen for Odin!' And there was a similar shout as a massive fleet of 360 ships moved to east frankia.
A few days later the fleet saw coastline and Olaf saw this and shouted 'we will stop here for a short while,' short while after stopping Olaf walked to a hill and looked across, a few minutes later the other jarls came, Ragnar said 'why have we stopped here I don't see Bremen?'
Olaf said 'patients I have sent men to attack the village to bring people so I can question them and learn how far we are from the target,' this calmed Ragnar and a short while later there was a fire coming from it, they waited for the villagers to be brought to them and Olaf looked at them and said in French 'who is your leader?' there was no voices but one old man said 'I am the leader what do you want from us?'
Olaf said 'tell me where is Bremen and I will give you a quick death lie and I make you suffer and I will not do it now since I will have to check, so you better think and tell me,' the elder knew that their fate was sealed and decided to answer and get a quick death 'your not far travel down the coast for 20 minutes you'll see the the river follow it and the first large city you see is Bremen,' after hearing this Olaf smiled and looked at the other jarls and said we are in east frankia land, and the river I told is 20 minutes from here, so we take a short break and move to attack the city,' this brought smiles to the jarls and a roar from Ragnar who was happy that the attack won't be long, Olaf looked at the men and nodded and they gave the prisoners quick deaths and they went back to their temporary camp.
