Later in the day we see Olaf leads his sleepy son by the hand through the dark settlement. Sigurd trips over something, yowls. Dogs bark.
'Where are we going now?' Said Sigurd
'Just to a place. Just to see someone.'Sai Olaf
'What place? To see who?' Said Sigurd then goes on to say 'I'm so tired.'
Olaf sees a lamp set outside a low door.
'Here it is. Wake up.' Said Olaf while he sees an old hut, He finds the door open, pushes his son inside, follows.

Olaf grasps his wrist. Then there's the sound of a voice, ancient, unsexed.
'Why don't you come in? I'm waiting.' The voice said. Olaf encourages his son to push aside the curtained wall, and go inside.
The ancient seer is sitting in the dark. An old man or woman, with withered dugs, sightless, white eyed. Probably an old woman, it's actually impossible to tell. But there's a strange and powerful aura about the figure which makes Sigurd instinctively recoil. Before her is a bowl of dried brown shrivelled mushrooms. She reaches out gnarled fingers and chews one.
There is a conversation between them where Olaf is not happy about his dream not being done yet and asks why while the seer talks but in a vague way leading to the Viking warrior not being happy about it but claims he has something that will change everything and a possible way of going west and allowing him to become the most famous Viking in the whole of Norway and allowing him to see new lands after he leaves and takes his son with him.
Later he meets with his brother and talks about the sun board and sun stone and shows how they can be used to navigate the great open sea and allow them to stay on course and head for west and find great wealth and new lands to find for them and Harold listen and agrees it can be done but their jarl will not let them go, so Olaf tells him to find men who will be willing to go and he has a boat that will soon be completed and the leaves with his son.
They go and meet with the crazy boat builder floki who shows the boat that is to be used and that it can travel through open seas and rivers and that it's the type of boat that will be good to them and asks if the preparation is down to which Olaf says almost it's only getting the me. That's left and leaves and starts his journey back home with his so .
