After the unpleasant roughening up, he was pursued away from the area and was again threatened never to come back. Jazz felt that life was very cruel. Even though he was only ten, suicidal thoughts always resurfaced in his mind. He felt hatred for people and humanity at large. He swore that if he survived this, he would avenge himself.
Jazz was so deep in thought that he didn't realize he was in the middle of the highway. By the time he sobered up, it was already too late. The driver had desperately pressed the brakes, but the momentum of the car didn't slow down enough. Just like that, Jazz was sent flying.
That was the last he remembered. It turned out it was Adams that had hit him. Adams immediately rushed him to the hospital and foot his bills. He didn't stop there. After hearing his pathetic story, Adams took it to himself to raise him.
