As Tanjuro examined the drawings of his lungs, Kei finally woke up, uneasily checking her surroundings before noticing Tanjiro and Tanjuro talking. Once again, she saw their bodies become transparent, revealing their organs and muscles twitching intermittently.
This time, Kei managed to stop herself from fainting and weakly said...
" Tanjuro, Tanjiro? "
Kei called out to them both, seemingly confused about what was happening.
"Mother! You are awake. Father and I were talking about this weird thing in his neck, and then it was gone," Tanjiro slowly recounted what they had been discussing.
Kei nodded at his words, and Tanjuro confirmed that what Tanjiro said was true.
"Mother, are you okay?" Tanjiro asked worriedly, afraid that seeing the insides of a human might have shocked her.
For someone who hadn't seen such sights, it wouldn't have surprised him if they had puked or fainted. Even he would have, if he hadn't stopped himself.
He blamed himself for thinking that upgrading the sun breathing wouldn't cause confusion and hadn't even checked his share link skill. If he had known, he wouldn't have upgraded it and would have let it develop on its own.
But it was already done; there was no use crying over spilled milk. Now, he could only hope that his mother was safe.
Kei reassured him that she was okay and felt fine. In fact, she felt stronger, as if she could lift a wild boar with ease.
"Tanjuro, what is happening? Why do I feel so strong all of a sudden? I feel like I could chop wood for hours without getting tired," Kei said, testing her newfound strength.
For a woman who had always been physically weak, such a sensation must have been confusing.
Sun breathing was more than it seemed. It enhanced their overall strength and agility to an unimaginable level, without the side effects of draining their life force to reach the maximum level. This was alongside the benefit of acquiring TW and DSM.
But they didn't know how to activate it yet. Only Tanjiro knew, having tested it last night when he ran far from home.
"I don't know, Kei. All I know is that when I woke up, I felt my strength increase too. My health seems to be getting better, and now I can finally breathe more easily," Tanjuro said.
As the one who had caused this transformation, Tanjiro wasn't sure if he should tell them the truth. He didn't want them to know that their son was a reincarnated person, even though they were kind and understanding.
Just think about it: discovering that your son retained memories from a previous life would be unsettling. Tanjiro feared they would feel cheated.
That's why he didn't tell them the reason, allowing their minds to run wild with guesses.
However, Tanjiro decided to show them the DSM by feigning ignorance. This way, he hoped to gain enough freedom to hunt some animals in the mountains.
Activating his DSM, his forehead was covered with a red mark symbolizing a flame, and a sun symbol appeared on his back.
Feeling his overall strength increase twofold, Tanjiro showed his parents the mark, who watched intently as it formed.
"How did you do that, Tanjiro?" Kei asked, perplexed by her son's sudden display and the appearance of the mark.
Even Tanjuro was deep in thought, recalling a time when his father had spoken about the past.
"Demon Slayer Mark... That is a Demon Slayer Mark. A mark that can only be unlocked by being strong enough, and when one uses it, their strength and power increase exponentially,"
Tanjuro muttered. As a family connected to the progenitor of sun breathing, it wasn't surprising for Tanjuro to recognize the Demon Slayer Mark. Even though they led a peaceful life, they knew a thing or two about demons and demon slayers.
However, Tanjuro didn't disclose this information to Kei, wanting to keep her safe from any anxiety about demons.
Living in the mountains, Tanjuro couldn't just leave the house, as it held precious memories for him.
"Demon Slayer Mark? Does that mean there are demons in this world?" Kei asked worriedly.
Demons were not made known to the public to prevent chaos if people knew demons lived among them.
Only a minority of people knew about demons, either because they were victims or had connections with demon slayers.
"Yes, there are demons, Kei. I'm sorry I didn't tell you this secret. I didn't want you to leave this mountain, as it holds a special place for me. I'm sorry," Tanjuro admitted, struggling to explain why he had hidden such dangerous information from her.
Kei felt conflicted by his words. She was angry that Tanjuro had kept such secrets from her but also saddened by his reasons. However, she understood that if he had told her, she might have left him to live somewhere safer.
On the other hand, she had lived happily with him, even without knowing that demons were hiding among the crowds.
Now that she knew, the burden on her heart grew heavier as she worried about her family's well-being.
Then it hit her: she finally had the strength to protect both herself and her family. Even Tanjuro was healthier and stronger than before, with a better complexion and more muscles. She glanced down to where Tanjuro's "sleeping dragon" rested and immediately blushed.
Thinking about the upcoming future of intense nights, Kei blushed from head to toe, and her already fast-beating heart quickened further.
Her irregular breathing was noticed by both Tanjiro and Tanjuro. While Tanjiro looked confused, Tanjuro immediately understood when he saw the look in Kei's eyes, seemingly ready to devour something. He, too, felt hot all over his body.
Now, Tanjiro was the one confused as he noticed both of them with faster heartbeats and flushed faces. Realization dawned on him, and he smirked at them.
He coughed, bringing them back to reality.
"Father, Mother, can you also do this? If not, I can guide you. You only need to think about wanting to see the mark," Tanjiro said with a smirk.
He turned off his DSM and watched as both his parents activated their marks. Kei's mark resembled a burning flower in the center of her forehead, wrapping around her head like a crown. Tanjuro's mark appeared as tranquil flames on the right and left sides of his face, resembling burning feathers.
It seemed that each mark was unique to the user of sun breathing. Tanjiro didn't fully understand why, but as long as they had the marks, it was all good.
He didn't realize that his own mark was also unique, featuring a sun symbol on his back.
After learning how to activate the DSM, Tanjuro and Kei tested its effects and were amazed by the sudden increase in their strength.
As they explored their newfound powers, Tanjiro played with baby Nezuko, being the attentive brother he was.
"One day, the Kamado family will be the strongest family ever—a family feared by demons. If Tsukiguni Yorichi could do it, we can too," Tanjiro said, laughing to himself as he continued to play with baby Nezuko.

Two years had passed since then, and the Kamado family welcomed a new member: Takeo Kamado. He resembled Tanjiro but had a birthmark under his right eye, similar to Kei's.
As usual, Tanjiro immediately shared his power with Takeo. Upon birth, Takeo unlocked both the TCC, TW, and DSM, which caused him to cry loudly due to the sudden changes in his perception and the activation of the DSM.
Takeo's DSM resembled Yorichi's but also spread to his right eye, positioned on the right side of his face instead of the left.
Over the past two years, Tanjiro had unlocked Total Concentration - Constant and leveled up at least 16 times, a technique that is the initial requirement for becoming a Hashira.
To say the least, all of them had mastered TCC (Total Concentration - Constant), elevating their physique to new heights, and they continued to grow stronger.
Even Nezuko could now jump 3 meters high and run at speeds of 96.6 km/h (60 mph).
After mastering Total Concentration (TC), Tanjiro upgraded it to its maximum level, evolving it into Total Concentration - Constant (TCC), which further elevated his strength.
He quickly shared this upgrade with his family, and they soon felt the remarkable benefits.
At three years old, Tanjiro's status had already changed. He had reached level 17, accumulated 192 AP (Ability Points), and 72 SP (Skill Points).
Despite this, he hadn't used his AP yet, preferring instead to let his stats grow through the practice of Sun Breathing.
