Chapter 11 - Greedy Cat

The second semester had passed. Gin was getting so busy that it didn't bother her to remember what happened at that bar. As for Wang Jiyu's matter, it more or less had nothing to do with her anymore. After hearing his indirect confession at the bar, Gin had guessed 90% on what that person meant. So, Gin didn't feel that it was something she needed to bother with either.

Even if Jiyu was the person she liked though.

Lee Hyo In called and excitedly invited Gin to go out to lunch together. Gin refused no mercy but Hyo In's whining really irritated her ears. On top of that, that woman didn't give up and kept calling Gin, causing her phone to keep vibrating which was so disturbing. Gin picked up the n calls for the in annoyance.

I"sn't there anything else you have to do?!" Gin snapped an octave higher.

Hyo In on the other side of the line took the phone away from her ear before bringing it back. "That's why you had to come. I had planned it for a long time. Besides, you don't have class tomorrow afternoon, do you?"

Gin raised her eyebrows and replied,"Since you mentioned it then I'll be looking for something to do. Don't bother me anymore. Take Semi and Yujin."

Hyo In panicked and screamed."ANDWAEEEE!!! Song Gin don't you dare hang up the phone!!!!"

Hyo In's scream successfully made Gin startled. Without even pressing the speaker button, Hyo In's voice penetrated the channel boundaries and several people looked up in all directions curiously to search for the sound source. Gin cleared her throat and pretended not to notice anything. Not leaving any single second, she immediately walked out of the classroom. Gin held her forehead, felt tired. Was this woman going to bother her with all these unimportant things all the time? There was always nothing good that happened when that woman was plotting something.

"Okay. Just lunch," Gin agreed with emphasis.

Hyo In cheered happily and said reassuringly,"Of course. Junwoo will also join us so you no need to worry!"

iGn listened to it skeptically. For a moment she felt sorry for her buddy because Hyo In must have forced Junwoo to do so. Gin mumbled incoherently before hanging up the phone.

The next day after getting a text message about the address from Hyo In, Gin called Junwoo.

"Buddy, let's go together. Pick me up in front of my faculty parking lot."

[...]

"Don't act so dishonestly. Come here quickly," Gin said shamelessly and then hung up the phone.

"Song Sunbaenim!" Called someone from the East.

Gin squinted her eyes to see the person running towards her.

H"osh. Hosh. Song Sunbaenim, it's me Kim Hye Ji."

Gin nodded in understanding. "Yes I know. You're Kim Hoobae who asked for help last time, right?"

Kim Hye Ji nodded enthusiastically. She smiled happily before bowing to Gin and straightening her back."Thanks to Sunbaenim I got B+ in Professor Gu's class. Thank You!"

Gin looked at Kim Hye Ji with a light of appreciation but then frowned."That little favor doesn't even count. It's all thanks to your own hard work Kim hoobae-ssi."

Kim Hye Ji expressed her disapproval. "Of course there is. Thanks for Sunbaenim's guidance, I have understood the material well and have no trouble answering the Professor's questions."

This little girl was exaggerating. Gin only corrected minor mistakes and helped her by suggesting suitable books. Gin still wanted to argue but it seemed that no matter how hard Gin cleared it, this girl wasn't interested in listening. So she gave up, at least it was not a bad thing either.

"Okay, okay. Anyway, good luck?"

Kim Hye Ji nodded and looked at Gin shyly. "Sunbaenim, as I promised, Gin Sunbaenim will accept my invitation to treat you to a coffee. Gin Sunbaenim won't forget, right?"

The girl waited anxiously and Gin was silent for a moment. Gin's silence made the girl nervous.

Gin sighed. "Fine with that but today I've made another appointment. How about another time?"

Kim Hye Ji was disappointed for a moment before nodding in understanding. "That... I don't know where to look for Sunbaenim."

Gin smiled understandingly. "Then you can write down my number."

Knowing that her intentions were exposed, Kim Hye Ji was not embarrassed but happy. She took out her cellphone, saving Gin's number. After that she was ashamed to interrupt Gin's time any longer and said goodbye before leaving.

After that, a shiny black car stopped in front of Gin. When she saw the license plate number, Gin immediately got into the seat next to the driver.

"Let's go, Buddy."

Junwoo glanced at Gin before driving his car. Along the way no one started a conversation. Gin relaxed her back as she closed her eyes. Meanwhile Junwoo still couldn't forget the incident at the bar so he didn't say a word for fear that he might slip his tongue revealing something to Gin.

Half an hour later they arrived. In the car, Gin saw the artistic style cafe in front of her and mumbled impatiently. "I sometimes can't read Hyo In's thoughts, that girl." Gin grumbled and got out of the car.

Along with Junwoo, Gin entered the cafe and was immediately led by the waiter to the top floor. Not yet reached the table, Gin could see the people sitting at the table.

Damn it. She forgot when there was a possibility that the two of them were also invited by Hyo In. more importantly, the boy should have known Gin would be here. What else was he planning this time? Could he not stick his ass into her life? How tiring.

An inadvertent chuckle came from Gin's lips as she grumbled in her mind. Junwoo was inevitable to hear. He looked at Gin curiously before looking at where Gin was looking and found that there were his first-year juniors sitting and talking with Hyo In, Semi, and Yujin.

Was there something unpleasant that happened between Gin and him so that his friend chuckled in annoyance?

Or perhaps it was just his guess since Gin kept walking towards them so Junwoo put the matter in the back of his head and also followed.

Wang Jiyu occasionally responded to Hyo In's jokes with Semi when he noticed that Gin and Junwoo came together. Instantly their eyes collided and Jiyu immediately gave a faint smile. But Gin didn't smile back at him as she immediately turned her eyes to Hyo In's back. Acted like she pretended to be.

Jiyu's eyes flashed strangely. There was no mistaking that it really was her at that bar.

Hyo In saw Jiyu raise his gaze and a smile appeared on her lips. Hyo In turned around and waved her hand.

Gong Ju and Hyo In sat together, while in front of them were Semi, then Yujin, and Jiyu. There were two empty seats beside Hyo In. Gin chose to sit on the empty bench. Gin was reluctant to sit in front of Jiyu, face to face. So she immediately chose the farthest seat, as a result Junwoo sat in front of Jiyu.

Her action was so obvious in Junwoo's eyes that he couldn't help but wonder. Didn't Gin say he was still interested in this little hoobae?

If Junwoo realized that, so Jiyu did. Since he was more sensitive about it. Jiyu licked his lower lips and there was darkness in her eyes. Actually, it would be a shame if Gin heard what he said at the bar because it wouldn't be fun anymore if Gin had no intention to play with him. Unfortunately, Jiyu didn't feel guilty, even for a little piece. He only regretted that perhaps the other party had laid down his guard against Jiyu.

But that wasn't enough to make Jiyu give up.

He hadn't started playing yet so how could it just end like that.
