Third Person's POV
Earlier when Bingwen left Feng outside the storage room, Junho inquired what took him that long to make it to his office that was only one floor up. Having no choice but to speak the truth, he told his boss that he went to floor six to drop off Alice's friend. Junho fuming, left the room. On his way, he bumped into Tao who was going to discuss the presentation material for tomorrow's meeting. Seeing his best friend's nostrils flaring with anger, not giving him an acknowledging glance, he also joined him in the elevator.
When Tao asked again, he burst into anger saying, "She's such a nerve-wracking girl! Coming late, messing up with the meetings, disobeying worktime rules and now inviting her boyfriend! I can't withstand this shit!"
Tao tried to calm him down but it was Geon Junho who lost his sanity the day his love left her for good. No one knew what was going on inside his mind. Even he, himself, couldn't configure. Broken. His broken heart was playing with little much left sane and rational thoughts, turning them making rather irrational decisions.
Now after Feng left, he also marched out followed by Tao who made sure to gave Alice an apologetic look before going after his best friend.
"What the f*ck, Junho!", slamming the door shut, Tao's voice came murdering the calm silence you would only get to see in a meadow full of daffodils swaying under the bright light of noon sun. If they both continued their way of closing the door, soon they will have to arrange a new door for Junho's office.
"Don't go lashing out at me again! You've seen yourself who is at fault this time! I was feeling bad that I might have overreacted when she wasn't okay. I tried, I tried to ignore whatever the shit she has brought to our company but what do I get to have in return? I've taken much of her f*cking non-serious behaviour!"
It was not that two friends were arguing over something for the first time. They had many arguments in the past, but all the disagreements never involved a girl, a personal assistant to be more exact.
"You have taken much? Might as well should I remind you that the other night she stayed late in the company because of you. Then she got a fever because she soaked in rain because of you! Regardless of her fever she still managed to come today because of you! She had been fighting her increasing body temperature only to get the work done also because of you! And you're saying you've taken much of her attitude?", scoffing in doubt, Tao exhaled a cold sigh heavily weighed down with worries and disbelief.
"If you keep treating your employees this way, soon there will be a time when you will be left alone", loosening the tie, he massaged his temples.
"Employees? You mean a particular one and I don't have any problem sacking her", Junho said in a mischievous tone.
"Sure you don't have but you will be having two employees leaving your company that day."
Tao threatened his best friend. He knew that he would never leave his side. But if he did not fix his wrecked attitude, Tao was also not certain what he would do this time.
"You care more about the girl who just joined yesterday than your friend who's been friends with you for years?", scoffing, Junho looked at Tao.
"If it means bringing the old Junho back, I will not give it a second thought", Tao replied, unfazed.
Junho sat on the couch, kept thinking and thinking until his friend broke the silence that was killing him.
"Take an off", he said walking over to him.
"You are not in the right state of mind. You need to cool it down. Heartbreaks are toughest to deal with than meeting with western delegations and even convincing Green Valley for investments in Korea", sitting next to him, he continued speaking.
"I will keep track of this place. Don't worry about it. Just do what I'm saying. A week or two. Maybe a month?", Tao knew that Junho would never go on leave for a month. Using the large number, he was trying Junho to consider the smallest one. In a business, you sometimes reach a dead-end and are bound to bear a loss in every way, and it is when you opt to go for the minimum loss to prevent your business from big penalties. Tao knew what he was doing. He was a businessman after all.
"Please, Junho. You need to wake up and accept reality. The quicker you accept it, the sooner it gets better for you", he placed his hand over Junho's shoulder.
"It hurts, Tao", Jungkook mumbled, closing his eyes.
Once someone said: Rather than dealing with a broken heart he would choose to deal with broken bones.
Humans can somehow bear physical pain because it's acute. However, when one has to deal with a broken self, it involves the heart and when the heart is involved it generally can make the body acts logically, but broken pieces confuse the human to choose which direction is right to go. The same was happening with Junho. His mind was confused and consumed by the time he had spent with Xiu.
"I know. It will get better I promise", tapping over his back, Tao whispered. But nobody knew if it was going to get better or worse.
