It was Sunday. Andre had returned from the mainland and he was ready to give the report back to Dean. He didn't look too happy about the trip. One of the key details in that recon was the photos that Andre took with his phone. It showed the layout of the house from the outside, along with the number of people inside that house.
"Alright, let's hear it," Dean sat down on the table in the middle of the room.
"Alright, I manage to take pictures of the house, but the interior is pretty much unknown, and it's not like I can act like a pizza delivery guy," Andre further detailed what he wasn't capable of.
"Go on."
Andre showed a picture of one of the armed men inside the house. Dean immediately caught the attention of the concealed weapon that they used. It was a .44 magnum pistol, it should be capable of stopping any unarmored target.
".44 magnum, damn," Dean commented on the armed guard.
"Then this man almost scared me to death, Dean," Andre showed a picture of a person holding a rifle, a shotgun, to be exact.
"Well, you should be, that shotgun will blow your head off before you manage to create an ice spear," Dean commented.
It wasn't a semi-automatic shotgun such as the Benelli M5 or something like that. It was the old Remington pump-action shotgun. It posed a significant threat to a wannabe trespasser without any armor. Still, nothing out of the ordinary.
"Driver uses Ford Explorer if you want to know," Andre showed another picture of a car.
An SUV, basically. If they wanted to escape, they could drive through the grass field without any problem. So, that vehicle was one of the high-priority targets Dean needed to disable. Perhaps, shooting at the engine block with high-caliber would be enough.
Still, Dean preferred to use his M4-EC than the ShAK-15 in this rescue operation. He only needed to attach a silencer and it would be an easy job. One thing he knew about kidnappers, they were one of the types of criminals that would look down on threats, unlike bank robbers. Basically, one of the people that thought that their guns and their hostage would keep them safe.
They would be lucky that it was Dean and not the High-Threat Federal Response Team. Those guys were nightmares to face and they used advanced tactics combined with MSAE warfare to level up the playing field with any criminal.
MSAE, Magical Signal and Electronic warfare disabled any magical spell while reducing the effectiveness of any radio signal of any enemy. It worked like any other electronic jammer for the most part. The equivalent of screaming on top of your lung to prevent someone from talking.
"What about the boy, do you see him?" Dean asked.
"Well, no, but I do hear crying from the house. Do you think he's the lucky guy?" Andre asked.
"Most likely. Say, what are my options to enter the building?" Dean asked.
Andre put several pictures of the house. One was the picture of the roof and there was a window on the roof. Then there were windows and doors in the house. Andre needed to explain more about it.
"You can go through the front door, risky. You can go through the back door, less risky, but if the kidnapper escapes, you'll have a hard time getting into your vehicle. The roof window is too inaccessible, so not possible," Andre said.
Dean nodded. With his method, the back door might be the best stealth option. The front door would be the best direct assault method for shock value. However, both options needed their own equipment.
"Lastly, have you tested the law enforcement response time?" Dean asked.
"Oh, I have. I call the police to search for a suspicious vehicle that doesn't exist in the first place. From over the hill, I observed the police response time. The response time is three minutes, can you manage?" Andre asked.
"Never thought you'd do that in the first place, but thanks. How many people are in the house?" Dean asked.
"Three people, the other one is only holding a pistol."
Dean had two options that were equally risky. One was the stealth option which required night combat gear which was no different from his equipment when he infiltrated Hannah's house. He didn't need anything more than a silenced Glock and a silenced M4-EC.
The worry was if the kidnapper noticed him. It would become loud before Dean even noticed it. As a result, he would have to do a gunfight against them. Basically, the backup plan for stealth would be a very hazardous loud option facing goons with shotguns and pistols at the very least.
The last one was the loud option. Dean would wear his heavy armor which practically tanked against anything that the kidnappers would throw at him at the risk of alerting the High-Threat Federal Response Team. Dean didn't even want to meet them. So, it was clear to him, that the only option was stealth.
However, he needed a getaway driver for this. The option was only one, and that option would be Andre. The dude has a little bit of knowledge of the area in comparison to Dean, and it was not like Orion could drive a LATV-5 above 100 MPH like it was a sports car.
"Andre, I need you to do something for me," Dean asked him again.
"Damn, I am that reliable, am I?" Andre felt somehow proud of it.
"In my opinion, you are, anyway, I need help in making sure that I have a driver, mind tagging along?" Dean asked.
"When?" Andre asked.
"After our promotion to PFC, of course. I don't want to risk it," Dean answered.
"Sure boss, you got that. I'll do what you say," Andre added.
"Great. In the meantime, let's continue with our life, alright?" Dean gave the instruction.
"Copy that, boss man," Andre said.
Orion and Andre went to sleep earlier after that. Meanwhile, Dean got a text from Scarlet, telling him to meet her in the Almara Island west park. Dean chose to ignore it. It was not like he wanted to meet anyone outside of the academy after the latest assassination attempt.
