Chuck checked his dungeon tab and found that he had unlocked a second floor. He was able to change the lay out and levels of his floor. With a quick switch. The kitchen and restaurant became floor two. The double doors at the end were replace with a stairway leading up.
Chuck went up and found that he had gotten another 2,000 square feet for free. It was a 20x100x15 foot area. He now also had 14,000 square feet left to build. It needed to be done now so that he could get more allowance when the sun rose. Spending the rest of his space, he extended the room up to 800 feet while keeping it twenty feet wide. He would figure the rest out later. He still had time before the beginner protection ended.
Returning to his room. Chuck took off his chef uniform and bought a pair of sweatpants for 10DP and then got into bed. He checked the regional chat but didn't recognize any of the names. He grabbed his pillow and then went to sleep.

When morning came, Chuck took a quick shower before putting on his chef's uniform. He then checked his interface. Kyle had managed to get to level 3 over night and was now back in his dungeon. His allowance also came in while he was asleep. 1,740 DP were added to his account taking his total to 6,004DP. He should have received 1,840 but 100Dp went straight to Gareth.
It was a pretty good amount, but more would always be better. When Chuck walked out of the core room and into the kitchen he was greet by Gareth, the vampire.
"Good morning, Master Forest."
"Hello Gareth."
"I regret to inform you, that I may have frightened the goblin fellow. He has locked himself in the bathroom."
Chuck laughed and the walked towards the bathroom. Sure enough the door was locked.
*Knock* *Knock*
"Crumb, are you in there."
The door quickly opened, and Crumb grabbed Chuck and dragged him inside.
"Watch out, there is a monster out there." Crumb quickly said. "Vampires are bad business."
Chuck shook his head. "He works here, that is Gareth. Don't forget that no one can come in unless the work here. Well, until the silver light goes away."
"Uhh… I forgot." Said Crumb with a sheepish grin.
"Never mind, do you want some breakfast."
Crumb quickly nodded and followed Chuck to the kitchen while keeping a watchful eye on the vampire. Chuck spent 2,000DP to stock his kitchen with standard everyday ingredients. They were not as good as the wild stuff taken from outside, and couldn't compare to the ingredients from the Immortal Chef menu, but those every day items were still need.
Things like eggs, flour, milk, butter, sugar and so on. With that 2,000DP Chuck also bought a travel cooking kit. His inventory only had one hundred spaces. If the items were the same, they could be stacked in the same space. Like 50 rats for instance. But a pan would take a space, a pot would take another, same with the cutting board. Not to mention the different spices if they weren't in a kit.
With this, chuck had cooking utensils and some basic seasoning. And it only took one spot. His large seasoning and spice kit was already moved into the kitchen and only the travel sized one remained in his inventory.
"Come here Crumb. We are making scrambled eggs this morning. They are pretty simple."
He took out four eggs and put them on the counter next to a bowl. "Crack the eggs into the bowl, but make sure none of the shells fall in."
Crumb nodded and did as he was told. It was a little messy since the goblin had never cracked an egg before, but the task wasn't that hard.
"Take this whisk and quickly stir until the two parts of the eggs become one. Stay steady and controlled, you don't want the food to come out of the bowl." Chuck said while passing the goblin a whisk.
Chuck went over and turned the flat iron grill on and then grabbed a few things from the refrigerator. He checked on Crumb and saw everything was well mixed. "Keep stirring." He said while pouring some milk into the mixture.
He then brought a stepstool over to the flat iron grill. "Okay, bring over your bowl."
Crumb put down the whisk and ran over with the eggs and jumped onto the stepstool. He watched as Chuck put a square of butter onto the cooktop and began to move it around with his spatula.
"Okay, pour the eggs where I put the butter. Then take that spatula at your side. You have to keep the eggs from burning and stay in the butter area. Don't move to fast. You want to give the eggs a chance to cook, but you want to keep moving them around."
Using all his possible concentration, the goblin poured the eggs. Chuck set several strips of bacon on at the same time, but Crumb was too enthralled to notice.
The little goblin was doing a good job so far. "Don't forget this area." Chuck said while using his spatula to move a bit of egg in the center. Everything was going smoothly. "Good now sprinkle this on top and then mush it all together." He said while handing Crumb a small bowl of shredded cheese.
"Good, good. Now cut it in half and put a portion on each plate."
Crumb ran and got 2 plates before coming back and dividing the eggs. When he was finished, Chuck set 3 pieces of bacon on each plate.
He then grabbed two glasses of orange juice that had come out of the juicer.
He set all the food on the counter and then poured Gareth a glass of pig's blood. It was a shame that he didn't keep any of the blood from yesterday, but he really wasn't prepared when he went out. Today would be different.
The goblin quickly devoured his meal while Gareth and Chuck both savored theirs.
After breakfast, Crumb cleaned up the dishes while Chuck began the preparations for blood sausage. A lot of things need to be done in stages and then left to chill. He was getting as much done now as he could.
Once the preparations were complete, Chuck then made some sandwiches for lunch and then gathered Crumb and Gareth.
"Crumb and I are going out to search for some more wild game and ingredients. That stuff tastes better than the things we can buy from the dungeon. Gareth stay here and watch over the place. Nobody should be able to get inside but… since its daytime, you can't come with us anyway."
"I will make sure nothing goes wrong here Master Forest." Gareth said.
"Good. I don't know if we will be back for lunch but we will be back before night fall. Crumb, let's head out. Do you know of any low level dungeons in the area?"
Crumb thought long and hard before nodding. "I know one, but it doesn't have good food."
"That's alright, we can still try to get the core. Let's go."
