Andrea had ran with the speed of light and pounced on Charles, she acquainted his face with her fist over and over again, trying to relieve her anger, even after she felt the coolness of blood on her knuckles, she didn't stop.
"What is going on here?" The teacher who just walked in, hollered.
With no further ado, he dragged Charles and Andrea into the principal's office accompanied with a series of questions, but they were left unanswered, then he resulted in advising them against violence.
Upon seeing the bloody nose of Charles, the principal instructed the P.E teacher to take him to the school nurse, while he questioned Andrea.
"What happened?" The principal asked. The principal wasn't the least unsightly even as an aged man, Andrea had to confess, this man looked extremely handsome for his age.
Having his piercing grey eyes locked on her, especially being accompanied with a beautiful face, Andrea couldn't form words for a minute.
"He called autumn spring, that's enough reason to hit him" she leaned forward, "just imagine how Miss Gladys would feel about that".
Miss Gladys was their geography teacher, she was over forty but still unmarried, she wasn't ugly but she was extremely ill tempered and lousy, Andrea was really disgusted by the sight of her.
"So you punched him to the extent that he bled?" The principal asked, unbelieving.
"Isn't that enough reason?" Andrea demanded
"Andrea, you're a very good liar, no doubt, but lying won't be able to get you out of this one" The principal gestured at his computer "there are so many petitions against you, demanding your expulsion, but I only let you stay because you haven't broken any rules." He let out a deep breath, and his nerves relaxed "But this, this unreasonable anger of yours is your bane" Andrea didn't even blink
"Okay" the principal rested his hands on the table and decided to try another approach "if you can tell me what he did, then we can see how I'll be able to save you" he smiled "what did he do to you?"
Andrea smiled back at him and shook her head before leaning back into the chair looking apathetic as she played with her hair.
A knock came from the door, from where Andrea was sitting she had to turn around to see who was at the door. And so she did before her breath got hitched.
Standing at the door were the twins but they weren't the focus of Andrea.
Andrea's eyes were stuck on Bree, the latter was surprisingly in her uniform, her usually tied up ponytail fell on her shoulders adding a kind of eerie feeling to her pale skin, her green eyes were focused on the principal, the uniform was extremely short and probably tight as her breasts were almost exposed.
Her beautiful, firm, full...
Andrea tore her eyes away from Bree and placed them on Lucy, but there wasn't anything particularly pleasing about Lucy, other than her beautiful face, but even that, didn't thrill Andrea.
"Bree, why are you here?" The principal's question brought Andrea away from her trance, she turned back to the principal.
"Andrea was only standing up for Bree, those guys were saying all sorts of obscene things about her" Lucy blurted out, earning a glare from Bree.
"What did they say?" The principal asked.
"Nothing" Andrea stood up immediately and locked the door against the twins and Bree in one move "I punched him on my own freewill, I wasn't standing up for anybody or anything, his face was just asking for a beating so I delivered one."
The principal felt that even if the sky was to come crashing down Andrea could never speak the truth. He rolled his eyes at her and walked out of the office.
But before he could succeed, Andrea stood in his way "where are you going to?"
"Do you think you're the only student here?" He asked "if you can't tell the truth then I'll go look for someone else that would" He gently pushed her out of the way and walked out of the office.
Andrea looked out of the office, the twins and Bree were walking behind the principal, Bree turned around and smiled at her, revealing her dimples.
Andrea returned the favour.
Andrea crashed back on the chair, she had predicted this outcome when she was brought to the principal's office.
Letting go of things had never been her strongest suit, but there was always a time to start trying, no matter how much she would prefer to repress some things, out of sight, out of mind was better, if she continued, she would fail woefully and there surely would be consequences.
"Things are better off this way" she said aloud.
The door to the office opened and caught Andrea unaware, she had dozed off for a minute, the sudden arrival of the principal startled her, she quickly adjusted her sitting position and fixed her eyes on the principal.
The principal was accompanied by Bree, the twins, Louisa, Charles who had cotton buds up in his nostrils and Louisa's boyfriend along with two other students Andrea didn't recognize.
"So Andrea, I have witnesses here, they're going to tell me everything that happened." Andrea's heart skipped a beat.
The staccato beat of high heels shoes echoing off of the marble floor could be heard in the office. The fast-approaching footsteps halted at the door of the office.
"Mom" Lucy greeted, bewildered.
"What trouble have you caused for me you stupid brat?" Becca yelled at Lucy. Her blonde hair was pulled up in a tight bun, she looked very voguish.
Andrea had no time to admire her, upon seeing her, she rose to her feet and walked away from the chair, pulling it out for her Aunt. Becca gave her a look and occupied the chair, it was the only seat in the office other than the principal's.
"Mrs Queens, thank you for coming on such short notice" The principal smiled and sat down on his seat.
"You're welcome" her eyes moved to Bree, who stared at her passively. "You said this is about Bree and my niece?"
"Yes. Andrea got into a fight and bashed someone's nose pretty badly" the principal gestured at Charles "As the principal, I decided to look into it, I'm sure you're well aware that Andrea is incapable of speaking the truth" the twins snickered on hearing that, earning a glare from both Becca and Bree.
"Considering her inability to speak the truth, I decided to investigate the issue and I brought in some witnesses, I haven't questioned them prior, I was waiting for you" Becca nodded at him signalling for him to go ahead with the questioning.
"Lucy" Lucy looked up from her shoes, shocked that her name was called out, she stared at Andrea for a while before she moved them to the principal with a beating heart.
"Please, tell me everything that happened, from the beginning"
Lucy's heart skyrocketed, she stared at Bree. It wasn't her secret to tell so she couldn't blurt it out like a faucet that has lost control.
Bree nodded at her.
Lucy's gaze lingered on Bree for a while, the respect Bree had earned from Lucy was insurmountable. Lucy realized Bree had already predicted this outcome, that was why she refused to exact revenge on Charles, that was why she chose not to engage in a sexual relationship with Louisa. Lucy had thought it was all because Bree had a good self composure, great at repressing her anger, phlegmatic.
An honor student couldn't be any more honorable than this, Bree was even capable of predicting the future.
Lucy almost gawked in awe.
Andrea noticed all the interactions between Bree and Lucy, she realized that she wasn't the only one who had plans of throwing it all away.
Though she had initiated the idea, she never expected Bree to follow suit. A knife pierced into her heart, twisting and turning in its wake.
It was the nature of every human, Andrea wanted to move on, but she did not wish the same for Bree. She wanted to disappear, to soar in the sky, but Bree should remain trapped to the ground, probably because, if her limit was the sky, who could say Bree's limit wasn't the heavens itself, or even far beyond it.
