LEANDRA'S POINT OF VIEW
Olga, who was still awake, let us inside her house. It was small, yes, far from the size that Master Hades owned at the forest we once stayed at before but it was neat and clean.
Although there's some touch of dirt on the table in the middle, if you're going to roam your eyes around, you can agree with my statement.
"You found my small hut, Lady Leandra," she said, then offered us to sit down on her small sofa.
I smiled shyly. "I hope we didn't disturb you. We're just waiting for Master Hades and Fabian said your place is just near so… I hope you don't mind?"
"No, no, it's fine. I'm happy that someone visited me after a long time," she then chuckled a bit. I could see the mixture of happiness and at the same time, vulnerability in his eyes.
"A long year? Bet you have friends to visit you all the time?"
She chuckled hysterically. A long silence crept in until Fabian told me he'd come outside for a minute.
"I don't have friends I can call Lady Leandra," she said, looking at me with sadness in her eyes.
Olga is the only maid I have contacted in the kingdom. I believe she's under Master Hades or more like, she's always on call in his chambers. But that doesn't matter though, she's kind and answers all my questions, there is no doubt that she's like every other vampire who's looking at me with anger in their eyes.
"Thank you for your kind words to me, Lady Leandra," she said. She has read my thoughts, I guess.
I snorted. "Is there any way to block my mind?"
"Lord Hades hasn't taught you yet? It's weird, some slaves have already trained under their master right away,"
I shook my head as an answer. "Well, yes. But I can't do it… he said I should imagine that there's a high wall around me, calm myself and… block my mind?"
She nodded and grinned. "Lord Hades often wanted to take a different way, didn't he?" she asserted, making me confused. "Calm yourself, Lady Leandra. Took a deep breath and felt the silence inside this whole hut. If you've seen the red button, say the word click,"
My eyebrows furrowed. "Is it possible?"
"Uh-huh. I'll leave you be, it's just over minutes and it will be over,"
I don't know whether to do it or not but when Olga came out, I closed my eyes and calmed myself. I took a deep breath, inhaled, and put all my thoughts behind my back.
In just over a minute, I already saw the red button Olga was saying. After that, I said the word click and felt dizzy but then, my reaction was… is that all?
Olga came with a serious face in her eyes and was followed by a man who had a big mustache, a beard covering her face, and messy hair. His clothes were dirty, it seems like he has been into a deep dilemma and needed urgent help.
His eyes drifted on me. For a moment, I could see how he watches my eyes intently. He has been there, standing, and I felt weird as to how scared his facial expression was.
"I-Is there any problems, sir?" I couldn't help but ask.
He shifted on his seat, massaged his temple, and slowly looked at me.
"You're not a real vampire, aren't you?" he mainly said, making my whole body tremble.
"I w-was a human back then," I honestly answered. "H-How did you know? Can you still r-read what I'm t–"
In just a glimpse of an eye, his hands went on my neck. He wasn't groping it, but he was just caressing it. He tugged my hair from my left and said, he made something on it causing my skin to turn into light.
Until his hands went on my left shoulder, he pulled down my sleeves making me startled, and pushed him hard.
"What's wrong?" Olga immediately went to where we were holding a glass of blood in her hand.
The old man looked at her. "I'm sorry, it seems like I made your visitor surprised," he said, a bit nervous about her.
Olga's eyebrows arched. "Just be sure to leave after making yourself drink. I don't let just someone inside my hut,"
He finished the glass of blood Olga gave him. Until his eyes drifted on mine, I fixed how my dress are and looked at Olga, I was hesitating whether to tell him or not what he had just done.
He thanked her for the kind courtesy. When he turned around, he fixed his eyeglasses first until I just heard something in my mind, in which I thought that the method Olga had told me worked.
"Be careful. If someone knows who you are, you'd be dead by now. Hide your lotus mark, don't let someone else see it."
I see. So he saw it, huh? Master Hades and Lorcan said it wasn't just an ordinary mark. If someone sees this other than us, they would kill me and that's pretty loud and clear.
The whole time I was there and having a small conversation with Olga, I was pretty nervous and trembling. Fabian was nowhere to be found.
"Are you alright, Lady Leandra?" she asked using her low soft voice.
My eyes went up on her, then smiled. "No, I'm fine."
After that, Fabian came inside the hut and directed his look at me. "Time to go home now, Lady Leandra,"
Olga and I stood, I smiled at her, and like what the old man did, I thanked her. She was nice, really, really nice. She didn't bother giving me a small cupcake she baked that normal vampires wouldn't do.
Although they eat flesh and drink blood, I was really surprised when she could bake and was more likely to eat human food.
We came back to the castle whilst I was preoccupied. Regardless, the first man I saw inside the room was him, his top was slightly unbuttoned making me see the thin hair on his chest.
Master Hades sat down on the sofa, patting his thighs, and glanced at me.
"Sit on my lap, Leandra," he said, which made me walk toward him effortlessly.
