Hades wanted me to call him master. However, things aren't still definitive for me. The whirlwind entered inside of his room, hugging my body tight as it oozes to my skin, giving me adequate goosebumps.
"W-what are you saying..." I muttered after Hades stood up and moved away from me.
He critically gawked at me. "Can't you remember? I saved your life,"
"Saved my life?" Why does it chime like it's fake? A fake proclamation, to be exact.
Gradually, he nodded with a glass of alcohol in his hand. "Yes."
I gave him a confused look. I don't understand what he's saying especially now that I couldn't recall anything. Mind you, he's not very familiar to me. I just happened to know this vampire, human, creature whatever he is; today.
"You were stabbed by one of your friends," he explained. "I was there when it happened."
"One of my friends? Who, specifically?"
Hades went to where the table is. Slowly, he put a small portion of alcohol in his glass and drink it without breaking our locked gazes.
I gulped. A vampire only drinks blood not alcohol, water, or eats human foods! I knew it! He's just toying me around!
"I'm older than what you think, slave. My body is used to drinking human drinks like alcohol but we don't eat their foods. We've been used to it since then," he enunciates.
I spoke, "Aren't vampires always seeks for blood? Why bother drinking something your stamina couldn't process?"
"We're not just staying in our kingdom. Some vampires live in the city too, socializing with humans unnoticed." He added, "If you're wondering, I'm hundreds of years old. Technically, I'm way, way, way older than you. Several kinds of vampires only eat and drink human flesh. Some aren't, most people are under a kingdom. Traitors or commonly known as a viper in our world are the one who only eats human flesh."
"And which type of vampire are you?" Curiosity hits me.
"Royal." He solely declared without further details after.
I feel bizarre while waiting for Hades to come out from his bathroom. My attention caught the window beside the table. Out of curiosity, I sneaked peaked outside and my eyes formed into an O shape discovering how massive the whole castle is.
Yes. Castle. Judging by its surroundings, all I can see is a strongly fortified, permanently garrisoned stronghold, walls made with bricks and consisting of high walls and different towers.
My eyes went to the wine glass Hades was holding earlier. The blood on it still attracts me but the unusual feeling and the way I think prevent me from looking at it.
Only vampires like Hades are eligible for this. But my suspicion is... why do I feel arouse and hungry, wanting to taste and savor it.
Is it because...
"Do you think I would drag you here knowing you're a human?" Hades abruptly popped out from behind.
So I'm already one of them, then? Of course not!
"Stop reading my mind!"
He sneered, "It's loud. Block it,"
I immediately think of a hollow block to block my mind so he couldn't hear it.
"Idiot," he surly asserted.
My eyes instantly went to him. I lifted my gaze and saw him who freshly come out of the bathroom, topless. The towel he has was enclosed around his waist while the water from his hair drips down to his shoulders.
Damn it, Leandra! Look away!
His broad chest, masculine arms, six-pack abs suddenly showed up as the veins in his arms starts protruding violently.
"Done checking me out?" He arrogantly solicited which made me hoist my gazes at him and sneered.
My cheeks veered red, "I'm not checking you out!"
"I'm going to dress up, Milady. Up to you if you're gonna turn around or not." He playfully said, making my eyes widen.
Why the f-ck didn't you run away earlier when he's busy in the bathroom, huh, Leandra? Why the hell did you still keep up inside knowing you're in an unfamiliar place with unfamiliar creatures around you?
I shrieked hard inside of my mind. Feeling annoyed, stressed, and confused, I turned. my back on him and immediately went to where I was earlier. The window.
From here, I can hear a few things such as his belt who's cackling. Regardless, for the second time around, my stomach oozed.
"Drink it, Leandra. You must regain your strength, milady," he uttered firmly.
"I wanna go home," was the first thing I confessed when I looked at him. Good thing, he already has a shirt and pants. But his thread isn't yet completed.
Hades sat down on his sofa, "Only if I allow it,"
"Who are you to forbid me?" I asked out of anger.
Slowly, Hades tilted his head cockily. The grimace and dullness in his eyes didn't change. He became frigid and ruthless-looking.
The way how Hades looks at me screams unpleased face, dismay, and annoyance.
"And who are you to talk back at me?"
After his sentence, his eyes turned red. I was about to stand up when I felt the same pain I felt again earlier. If it was my ankle earlier, now it became both, and neither the two was able to move.
I gave him a sharp glare. I squirmed in agony when the pain I felt became more vivid and unreasonably.
"Aaaww!" I shrieked.
Hades' hot gazes went on mine. Slowly, he stood up and saunters toward me. "I don't like the way you look. How about I pull that eyes of yours, huh? No?" He critically inquired.
Tears rolled down my cheeks when the anguish penetrates me even more. I haven't been stabbed, but if I were to compare the two, I'll probably say this uncertain sting is eaten me.
"God, p-please," I merely said, almost breathless. "H-help me..."
My body fell to the ground. I couldn't move my hands but tried my best to seek him. Hades' gazes remained cold.
"Bold of you to talk back," he uttered wielding his stern, deep and dark voice. "You must learn from your actions, milady."
I writhe in pain. I'm sure he's the one who's doing it. Vampires have different abilities aside from telepathy. For sure, he has another one, too.
A strong, reliable, and jaw-dropping one.
"M-master H-hades..."
His eyes went to what color it was earlier. I was lying on the floor, trying to chase my breath. I couldn't exactly define what I feel. But the only thing I knew is, I got maimed and suddenly vanquished.
I tried to put my palms on the ground, trying to stand using my barefoot while looking at him full of vulnerability.
"Why are you doing this?" I asked, using the lowest tone I have.
Hades stood upright. "That's the common thing slaves received every time they're full of their selves and talk back at their masters."
"But I'm not your slave!" I hissed, trying to shout at him but was couldn't do it.
With his unforeseen outrage, I just found myself on his walls, his hands were gripping my neck, choking me tight as the veins in his arms indulge.
I haven't been recovered from the distress he has given me but here he is, in front of me, grabbing my neck out of nowhere!
Our eyes locked on each other. There's no emotion on it.
"Please..." And my tears rolled down simultaneously.
Slowly, Hades loosened his grip. I was choking and gasping for air for the second time. I felt like I was about to die but still managed to breathe.
Fear crept within me. Caressing my neck off, I hoisted my gazes to Hades.
"I just want to go... home," I mumbled in the midst of crying.
Slowly, Hades kneeled down as he lift my chin using his index finger.
The fear, anger, and anxiety I felt towards this person went to an extreme level. His strong, heavy, and vicious aura made my knees tremble, provoking me to feel weak and retain mixed emotions in my heart.
"I don't want weak people on my side, milady." He uttered. "The moment I'll see you cry because I punished you, don't assume I'll spare you and just kick you out."
I bit my lower lip, trying to calm myself down. He's like a ruthless wild wave who doesn't know how to ease.
"Don't you ever reckon about running away. I was the one who bites you, I could smell you whenever you go. So don't think about ridiculous things that could make me mad."
I squeezed myself to the very edge of the corner. Hades leaned his face closer to me, near my lips, almost touching my cheeks as I can feel his breath on them.
"Slaves don't defy their masters, Leandra. Unless you wanted to die," he asserted. "You won't like it when I'm mad."
That was the last thing Hades said before leaving. He went out while I was left inside his room, hugging myself and crying.
Realization hit me, hoping someone could hear my prayers and went here to save me. Hades himself is dangerous. He's cold, ballistic, feared, and dull.
I got a total of punishments from him. Looking at the mirror, my color almond eyes turned red for a second. The big circles under my eyes were still there, they became bigger, to be honest.
Seeing my reflection in the mirror allowed me to see myself in and outside the platform. Nonetheless, my eyes drifted to my neck an f saw the two dots on it, a literal bite whom I already know who was it.
The door opened. A middle-aged woman wearing fancy clothes came inside with a tray and a bowl in her hand.
"You're awake, Lady Leandra." A small smile crept on his lips.
No matter how friendly her tone is, I didn't respond.
"Lord Hades asked me to come and assist you,"
