"Did I really died and was bitten by Hades, Olga?" I consulted while she is busy stabilizing my hair in front of the big vanity mirror.
Olga is the person who had infiltrated the room earlier. She's nice and introduced herself to me. Slowly, she raised aloft her eyes and glanced at me in the mirror.
"You should've called Lord Hades a master, Lady Leandra," she instructed.
I winced because of it before deliberately nodding.
"As for your question, yes. That's what Lord Hades told his siblings when they found him carrying you."
Really? Did he carry me?
"Who changed my clothes, then?"
She grinned, "Me."
Olga looks like a normal mom but still looks prim, and proper. Not gonna lie, Olga is pretty despite her age and the dirty maid clothes she's wearing.
A small smile crept on her lips.
Seeing my contemplation in the mirror make me stunned. Wearing an olive medieval vintage gothic dress with a collar on the neck suits me even more while Olga fixed my hair into a wavy half-up style.
The smile on my face faded upon realizing how many days it has been since I moved here and was bitten by Hades.
"How long I've been here, Olga?" I asked, a little bit nervous.
"Almost a week, Lady Leandra."
My eyes enlarged. Does that mean it has been approximately a week since I knock over into a deep slumber?
It couldn't be! My Auntie Clara would be shrieking from now and will surely throw all my things, thinking I run away and doesn't want to be with them anymore!
Without further ado, I stood up and my feet automatically gallop towards the door to leave and go home. Regardless, my whole world tore apart when it was Hades whom I saw first.
His cold, bloodshot eyes went on me. "And where do you think you're going?"
"It has been almost a week since I fell into a deep slumber! You should've told me!" I shrieked in the setback.
Hades' reaction remained the same. He moved toward me and watched me walk inside his room. I was about to take a step forward when I saw four more vampires in front, looking at me with coldness and smiles on their faces.
Olivia, who was with us earlier gave me a big smile. The remaining strength I have ceased when they all went inside after Hades.
Unhurriedly, Olga bowed her head to them but they didn't look at her. Instead, they went directly in front of me while giving me a huge smile.
"Hi!" a teen-aged looked boy greeted me. "You must be Leandra? My brother's slave?"
I got somehow offended but still nodded.
"Oh. I don't mean to offend you but that's what we usually call them."
Another one butted in, "Just disregard Terron, milady. He's quite talkative and sometimes nonsense," I think it was his older brother who spoke for him.
The Terron boy said then arched his eyebrows. "Talkative my ass!"
There is a total of six people inside the room including Hades and me. All of them were sporting medieval gothic clothes except for Olivia who was still wearing her red dress and red stilettos.
All of them were eyeing me, giving me goosebumps as it sends shivers to my body up to my spine.
The one who looks the softest version of Hades walked near him. He grabbed one of the shot glasses and poured him a drink.
"What are you all doing here?" Hades coldly inquired his siblings without looking at them.
Is it okay if I think these people are creepy?
A small chuckle came out from the lips of the two of them. My forehead immediately creased.
"God. Terron is the creepiest person I've ever known," a voice flashed in my mind making me flinch.
Yet, another one came in. "Assh*le."
Hades caught my attention. There are still voices in my head talking and I couldn't figure out who it was or just one of my hallucinations, or worse, the effect of sleeping for almost a week.
I took a step forward, trying to step out of our room when the door slammed shut. My heart throbbed feeling the fear circulating my body.
"Stop talking with your minds. What are you all doing here?" Hades broke the silence and repeated his questions.
A man who looks like Hades spoke. "We all wanted to see her just like what Olivia said."
Olivia rolled her eyes. "I didn't say anything! It was you who's eavesdropping,"
"It's the same, sister."
"Shut up, Logan."
I looked down. Doesn't know what to say. All of them were looking at me with smirks on their faces.
"U-uh... Good d-day," I said using my lowest voice.
Another guy looked at me and said, "The ones you heard and talking to your mind were Terron and Logan," Olivia said.
My forehead creased. "Why do you guys always read my mind?"
Terron and Logan looked at each other and went to mine, "It's loud." they both uttered.
"I'm not even screaming..."
Honestly, I don't know who's Logan and Terron here but one of the two spoke, "It's natural. You'll just have to block my mind,"
Well, that's what I did earlier! I put hollow blocks to it but Hades just called me an idiot!
A chuckle came out from their lips while the man beside Hades just scoffed, "You'll learn it eventually, for now, all you need to do is to practice and train under my brother's command."
"Brothers?" I repeatedly asked.
Slowly, Olivia nodded. "Yes. They're also our siblings. We're like... a total of nine?" she grinned.
And the five aren't here.
"I don't think I can do that, excuse me."
It may be rude to leave them inside yet I did. I no longer have time to chit-chat. All I want is to come home already despite how angry my Aunt would be.
Not gonna lie, I want to run away from them also because I feel abused and they don't treat me like their own family but not like this kind of running away.
Auntie Clara and my cousin Claret are somehow good but not all the time. But still, I have shame and don't want to offend or make them angry in any manner.
The moment I left his room, all I could see is a big, dark pathway which I don't know where will I be once I follow. It may lead me to a dark, empty room of this castle that I don't wish to be there.
However, I grabbed a lamp on the side as my light and I bravely pursued the dark path.
Sculptures, lightless candles furniture, and glass walls are what I've seen. The light from outside still gives me enough source to see somehow.
I almost drop the lamp when a baritone voice spoke behind me.
"Oh my God!" I uttered out of shock.
Hades' figure registered in front. Slowly, he walked toward me but stopped after taking a few steps.
"Where are you going?"
I looked away and bite my lower lips. I was about to lie but my mouth has its brain and told him my destination.
"Outside,"
His eyebrows arched, "That's not the right path to come out,"
He caught my attention because of what he just said. The cold breeze outside went inside the window. It wasn't sunny but more likely, gloomy weather.
Instead of believing him, I snorted. "Really? Who knows, you're just bluffing."
"I wonder when are you going to stop annoying me?" he tilted his head before smirking with a grimace on his face.
"And I wonder when are you going to explain things to me?"
Slowly, I took another step towards him so we could see each other clearly with the power of light outside.
"Didn't I tell you that already?" He said, "What's in there for you to doubt?"
"That I was stabbed by my friend? In what circumstances and reasons?" I said, a little bit sarcastic.
His eyebrows shut up. "Do I look like someone who knows?"
"I couldn't remember anything, hello!"
Seeing Hades' face makes me irked. My eyes automatically rolled but it wasn't directly in front of me. For sure, he'd put me into a different level of extreme pain again and that's why I don't exactly want it to happen.
Hades and I are still standing, exchanging stares at each other. It took us over a minute before he broke the silence and spoke.
"You can't go back to your old family as of now,"
Now it piqued my interest. "Why not?"
"First, if you travel here from the city, it will take you days before you arrived. There are no such cars here. Second, the guards outside the castle won't let you pass without my permission. They'll ask you for a paper with a signature and also... the mark on your left shoulder," Hades explained.
My forehead immediately creased. My eyes drifted to my shoulder that has been covered by the gothic dress I was wearing. I simply looked at my right shoulder but no mark was there.
"On your left," he mumbled.
A gasp came out of my mouth seeing a small not-so-looking flower on it.
"This wasn't on my shoulder earlier!"
"We'll go through that after I explain things to you. Let's go," he ordered immediately.
Hades turned around and walked away from me while I'm still stunned standing where I was earlier. The mark he has been saying wasn't on my shoulders earlier. I've been looking at the mirror while Olga and I were dressing up.
I wonder why, who, and how it was pasted on my shoulder?
Without further worries, my feet automatically moved hearing Hades' voice in my head, ordering me to follow him.
The whole pathway wasn't that dark. There are a lot of windows up, a door that welcomed the light inside. I was just marveling at the whole place we've been passing through. I don't know how long we've been walking not until Hades stopped at a massive huge door in front.
Like how doors in the medieval whereas designed, it was identically lookalike. Hades went inside without knocking, completely disregarding his manners.
I lowly scoffed.
"Seems like you forgot I can read your mind. One more unpleased comment from you, I'll surely secure your d-ath right here, right now, milady." A voice from my head said.
Hades stopped. I was just behind him, suddenly feeling the fear as his words gives goosebumps to my body.
I bit my lower lip, trying to myself self and not to tremble.
An old man greeted us. He's busy doing something. And based on his physical appearance, he's old, like what old grandparents kooks like if you're a woman.
I bet he's way, way, way older than Hades.
The old man looked at me with a shock on his face. However, it all vanished when Hades spoke.
"Lorcan," he uttered coldly.
The Lorcan he uttered looked at him before standing up and bowed at him. "Lord Hades," he uttered.
"I need to talk with you, Lorcan."
Lorcan looked at me with pure authority in his eyes. It looks like he wasn't pleased seeing me.
"This way, Lord Hades." he said before swaying his hands, asking Hades for another private place they could talk.
Before Hades could turn around, he looked at me with his stern eyes. "Wait for me here,"
The big room looks like a library. a Its few meters away from where his room and seems like the Lorcan old man was into books since his name was on the table.
I sat impatiently on the sofa, trying to observe and wander myself around. The antiques caught my attention as my eyes meandered around. Seeing these kinds of things might pique Professor Enzo's attention since he's our history professor.
Shall I just steal a thing inside this room and passed it to Professor Enzo so he would pass me and give me an A+ grade?
My fantasies got distracted when Hades came forward with Lorcan.
"Show him the mark on your left shoulder, Leandra."
