Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: A creature?

THIRD PERSON'S POINT OF VIEW

Hades remained serious during the training with Leandra. He didn't want her to slack off, he didn't want her to let everyone think that he was ludicrous upon picking a slave who looks incapable and bizarre like her.

From the very start Hades saw her, he knew that Leandra was vulnerable. He comprehended that he couldn't prosper from her but still, he grabbed the latter, prevaricate with her, destroyed her memories, and became his slave for his personal benefit.

Slaves aren't what you think. Their role from their masters was not only to bear a child but also to be tough and willing to kill themselves in order to protect their lovely yet beastly majestys.

Leandra has been withstanding a lot under Hades' supervision. She no longer wants to stay here, all she could feel was extreme hatred and part of her wanted to come home.

Leandra was just sitting under the big coconut tree. Few men came here earlier with a huge basket in their hands that had food and other necessities such as candles, clothes for her, Hades' things he demanded days ago, and a few more things they'll be needing such as blankets and pillows.

Hades, on the other hand, was just inside the small house overhauling their bed.

Slaves normally slept with their masters beside their beds. Hades has been looking for someone who could fit as one since her slave before was dead. Honestly speaking, Hades prefers someone who's good at close combat, using swords and other weapons they often use when fighting.

Because for him, wimps have no place in his lair. No cowards want to team up with him, not until he found this reluctant quiet wallflower girl who was being lost in the forest.

"Can you tell me more about your kingdom?" Leandra once inquired now that Hades came out looking for her.

His face went grim. "Just stand up and look for woods in the forest," Hades impatiently ordered.

Leandra snorted. "Are you serious?" She appeared very shocked to hear his orders.

"Any objections?" he asked.

Leandra had no choice but to go inside the forest herself. It was far and different from the forest they were in but something at the back of her head started to rise up and she didn't know whether to discern it or not.

It feels like something inside her felt surreal. It seems like she could remember she was once inside the forest, but she could no longer know where it was, who she was with, and what happened.

Since Hades could hear her thoughts, Leandra tried to put trains of blocks in her mind, blocking Hades' from going in.

She wasn't sure what kind of branches she was going to look for not until after a few hours, Leandra came back with nothing in her hands.

"Where's the thing I asked you to look for?"

Leandra scratches the back of her nape without peeking at Hades. She bit her lower lip as a glare crept on his lips.

"Don't tell me you haven't found one?" he asked, a little bit apprehensive but more likely annoyed.

Leandra shook her head as an excuse. Hades looked away and seized a deep breath before putting down the weapon he had in his hand. He's wearing his linen shirt with puffed sleeves at the wrist, breeches, or tight and fitted leather pants together with his boots.

Leandra seized a notch to the left, giving his Master a space for him to walk.

"Wait here."

Her long red medieval dress was skimming the ground. It wasn't the same as other dresses she saw often outside this kingdom. She's wearing white linen with cuffed sleeves at the wrist, then another red long dress was paired with it.

She just contemplates her Master's broad shoulders from afar. Part of her wants to come and follow but the voice in her head doesn't allow her to do so.

"Never think of running away. There are eyes looking at us, milady," Hades spoke to his head even if they were gauging away.

Leandra became queasy.

"Until when are you going to mess with my mind?" she defended herself.

"I'm not messing with your mind. Just trying to warn you," he halted, "Besides, I can read your mind and even feel what you feel by the time that the ritual is already done."

"Ritual?" she asked through her mind.

Hades could heed her thoughts and Hades could speak to his mind. That's the reason why the two could talk even if they are cadences away. But if Hades moved too far, the connection between the two may decrease.

"Don't think about it yet. That will soon happen," he said.

There were no supplementary explanations that popped into her mind. She let Hades be quiet and waited for him there quietly.

Leandra couldn't sleep. She was afraid of the dark and that's the primary reason why she couldn't go to the woods and even search for tree brackets.

Unfortunately, their bonfire died. The two were busy doing their activity until Leandra wanted to take a break which her Master conceded. She became thirsty for another time, and Leandra came inside the small house and searched for one.

As soon as she saw the blood inside the small fridge that had been working through a solar, Leandra immediately took it out and was reluctant for a moment upon drinking it.

She bit her lower lip. Blood wasn't the drink she often drank before Hades turned her vampire. The smell of it idles on her nose, she has been drinking this for days and sometimes, Leandra often hesitates whether to booze it or not.

Pieces of information she knew day by day slowly process in her mind but part of her wants to throw it at the back of her head and completely disregard it.

Leandra was about to drink it after minutes of hesitating, not until her attention went to someone.

An identified creature came inside the small house with his messy hair, hooked fangs, red eyes, and even dirty clothes he has. To her surprise, Leandra got shocked and shrieked after discerning the creature inside.

The glass of blood is still in her hand, whilst the creature was gawking at her. Leandra's heart almost lunged until someone seized his heart and just saw him lying on the floor.
