LEANDRA'S POINT OF VIEW
"What was that…" I couldn't cease myself from gulping from time to time supposing another creature might come and get us.
Master Hades promptly got someone to clean the mess here in the small house. It is when one guard stood in front, looking at us with a Chinese-Spanish appearance.
"It is better to come back to the castle first, Lord Hades. Vipers are everywhere. The kingdom and guards couldn't get a grip of them," he informed.
"Vipers have been a nuisance to us these days…" Master Hades' firm hands turned into a fist. "They're being aggressive."
"Shall we come back now to the castle?"
Master Hades looked at me first before nodding at the man. I stood from my seat while all the guards who were with us opened the carriage's door. The first one who get inside was him, then me.
Skimming outside, I caught a glimpse of the body of the viper getting thrown out from the small house not until Master Hades caught my attention. He intersected his legs as one hand was on his chin while the other one was under his elbow.
"Eyes up here, Leandra," he ordered. "We're going back to the castle now. I need to come with the guards and investigate the attack of vipers nowadays."
I changed course on my position then bit my inside cheek, gripping on the clothes I'm wearing thinking he'll leave me here with… tons of tricky vampires I don't know and haven't met with.
Master Hades looked at me. He sought heavily while all I could do was to look down and protest yet nothing came out of my lips.
"You don't need to worry. Olga is there to entertain you, especially my butler Fabian." Master Hades added.
"C-Can I just come with y-you?"
He craned his neck and then leaned his head on the edge prior to closing his eyes and ending our discussion. "No, you can't."
"I'm afraid they can't–"
"Shut your mouth."
After his sentence, I felt my knees suddenly twist causing me to groan, and gave him a death glare. Master Hades and I were just inside, waiting for us to arrive in front of the castle in the middle of the night.
He was the first one to get up and I did the same thing. Many people who were currently outside were dressed in different medieval gowns with baskets in their hands.
A man who's tall enough, cute and charismatic came toward us. He flashed his big smile causing his white teeth to show up.
"Lord Hades, Lady Leandra," he then bowed a bit.
"Escort Leandra upstairs, Fabian." Master Hades enunciated.
I strolled to the man who was in front, the one who greeted us. He's tall, has pale skin as every vampire does, red eyes, a top knot haircut, and his clothes look cleaner than Master Hades and I.
So this is Fabian, huh? The butler he's talking with. He's way taller than me but Master Hades is way taller than him, us, indeed.
Before Master Hades could turn around and completely leave us here, I held his forearm trying to restrain him from leaving. "Hold on…" I said using the lowest voice I have.
His frigid menacing glare went on mine, causing me to gulp subconsciously. Master Hades nodded at the guards in front of him, the guards bowed their heads then dwindled in front of us.
Master Hades didn't speak, he nodded his head alternatively, urging me to speak and tell him what my thoughts are even if he could come inside my head and read what was on my mind. That sudden notion made me sneer in sly.
"Am I s-safe here?" I almost dropped from where I was.
Fabian answered my question rather than his master. "You are, Lady Leandra. Master Hades will just situate things but you're all good," then he smiled.
"How can I trust you?" doubtfulness slithers throughout my body.
A sudden smirk crept on Fabian's lips. Master Hades combed his hair, enlightening his prominent jaw and pointed nose because of his sudden litigation. Not going to mention his hands– his firm hands that indulge veins outward.
"Call me if something happens."
Master Hades left me with Fabian. The average man put his one arm on his waist, urging me to hook my arms on it yet I ignored his hand hanging in the air.
Fabian and I went to the castle. However, I didn't want to go upstairs again and go along the massive staircase plus the spacious castle. I went to the garden of the castle, and a few ladies were there, picking dazzling brilliant flowers.
Looking up, ogling at their easy on the eye dresses makes me feel I'm an ugly vagrant inside this whole amazing place judging by the way I am dressed right now.
Being mesmerized by the garden's unfathomable beauty, a faint smile crept on my lips seeing small roses that slowly blooming from a cramped room somewhere. Fabian remained behind me, doesn't even talk and I know that he was just observing intently.
"You should be resting by now," Fabian uttered.
"Shall we go upstairs, then?"
He bowed his head and gestured to me to come and walk first. "My pleasure, milady."
The entire room of Master Hades felt cozy, unlike the other day. Fabian opened the door wide in front, causing me to gaze at it as a tiny dirty room came and showed up in my face.
"This would be your room."
It's not bad, actually. It's just… Some things here are currently a mess. It seems like a person or a lady has been sleeping here since then. Perhaps Master Hades' girls before?
"Every royal chamber has a small room inside. It's for their slaves. Slaves aren't allowed to sleep with their Master unless otherwise, the Master himself wants it."
"Does that mean I'm not allowed to… sleep above his bed?"
Fabian nodded. "Yes, Lady Leandra. There are rules inside the royal's chambers. You can't come outside your room if your master didn't let you. Only Master Hades could be the one who decides about the things you're going to do for…"
I got curious. "F-For how long?"
"For the rest of your life, Lady Leandra."
