(The story of Yama before he entered the Dimension Labyrinth)
As previously known, Yama is a ninth-grader who attends the same school as Eiji and Shuta, namely Murayama Shiritsu Tateoka Junior High School. Yama, whose full name is Nakamura Yama, is the only child of a husband and wife couple who happens to live in the city of Higashine, Yamagata Prefecture, Japan. The city is also adjacent to Murayama City.
Yama is a very sociable child, in fact, he is someone who becomes an ace or an AC from his baseball club team which has given him the position of being a reliable Batter (hitter) and Catcher (catcher) for the past three years.
...
Like the previous days, Yama is currently in the middle of the field with his baseball club team. They train together for the inter-school championship which will be held at the Zenkoku Koto Gakko Yakyu Senshuken Taikai or what can be called the summer Koshien.
This year is the last year for Yama to compete in the annual tournament that is always held every summer, and of course, Yama doesn't want to miss his last chance, which makes him almost every day practicing baseball with his friend's juniors.
That afternoon, Yama stood in the Batter's box holding a wooden bat with a length of one meter and sixty centimeters, white with a red cross-section of seven centimeters, and a grip wrapper of forty-six centimeters. Yama's gaze is currently focused on the pitcher or the pitcher who is standing holding the ball on the pitcher's plate.
When the Picther threw the ball at him, Yama swiftly hit the ball, so that it bounced up there and scored a Home Run. This is why he and his team ran from base to base to get a score and run batter in.
When Yama arrived at home plate, the team that became Yama's flock cheered with joy, because Yama's results never disappoint, and even Satoshi who was the pitcher now ran and hugged Yama happily.
"Good job, Yama!" they shouted to Yama without stopping, and among those who shouted, Yama heard the sound of a girl screaming hysterically or happily from a distance, and Yama knew who the girl was screaming was.
Yama's eyes now turned to the audience seat, and he found a beautiful girl was jumping and waving at him happily, seeing the girl made Yama smile and took off the hat he was wearing and waved the hat to the girl.
"Yuki??" a question asked by Satoshi also made Yama turn to look at him and then nod to answer it, the girl who was screaming and jumping up and down in the audience at that time was Yama's little friend, Yuki. Again and again, he watched Yama's practice without knowing it, but because of that Yama became even more enthusiastic in practicing, because his little friend was beside him and watched his play too.
"Shouldn't you approach him?" asked Yama the boy with the last name Makoto, and the question made Yama shake his head as he said,
"Iie (no) ... I'll be there after this practice is over" Yama replied to Makoto and Satoshi, making them smile at each other and run together towards the coach who had blown his whistle earlier to gather his teammates.
"Okay... today's practice was quite good, everyone worked and trained very well there was no downturn between all of you, and that's good..." said the coach to all of them who were now smiling at each other and looking back at each other. the coach who now turned to look at Yama.
"Yama" called the coach, making Yama nod his head in response to the coach's call,
"Keep up your punches to hit the Homerun! I beg of you" said the trainer to Yama who was now smiling and then nodded with certainty in response,
"Yes! I will do it," said Yama to the coach who was now smiling happily after hearing those words,
"Okay! Since it's time to go home, so come home quickly! Take a rest and study hard, you understand?!" said the coach with enthusiasm, making his students answer in a voice no less enthusiastic than the coach,
"Yes!!" they answered in unison, causing the coach to nod his head in satisfaction and say,
"Come on… go home you guys!" the coach ordered them, and the order made them immediately bow to the coach while saying,
"Thank You!" they said in a friendly manner, before finally escaping from the baseball field.
...
Yama was packing his baseball bag and putting in some bats and also the ball he was going to bring to his house, he glanced at someone who was now walking towards the player's seat, and it was Yuki.
"Yuki… you came today too?" a question that came out of Satoshi also made Yuki smile as he snorted in annoyance at the question, as if Yuki was not allowed to come that day.
"So what?? After all, I'm not here to meet you, Satoshi" said Yuki while sticking out his tongue mocking Satoshi who was now smiling at that, and Yama who heard and saw him just smiled at the two of them arguing.
"Come on Yuki! Didn't I promise to accompany you to the bookstore today?" Yama asked Yuki, and the question made Yuki immediately nod his head and Satoshi immediately muttered incoherently saying,
"Oh ... have a promise, I think Yuki came because he wanted to see the greatness of his handsome friend!" that's what Satoshi mumbled, but it didn't lead to mumbling, Satoshi's words and tone more indicated that he was mocking Yuki who was now snorting in annoyance as he threw a small towel at Satoshi who was now laughing because of it.
"Satoshi!" Yama called, san that made Satoshi turn to look at him who now nodded his head while saying, "I'll go first!" Yama said goodbye to him and made Satoshi stop laughing and nodded in agreement, and so Yama and Yuki left after Satoshi waved his hand and said,
"Yes! Until tomorrow!" Satoshi's words at that time made Yama nod his head and Yuki replied with a wave of his hand and a sweet smile to his friend.
Yama and Yuki walked out of the baseball field towards the outside of the school, "Yuki! We'll take a car" Yama said to Yuki, hearing this Yuki finally turned his head to look at him who was now pointing at a car parked in the school parking lot.
