"I still can't believe this is happening!" Liam said, taking a deep breathe before stepping into his home. It's been three weeks since he had Werewolf blood in his veins.
His home was situated in a relatively quiet part of town. Vicky had bought the home when Liam was five. a couple years after the death of his father...
Liam's gaze rested on the immense oak tree, planted by his mother when Liam was a little kid.
'In memory of my father...' Liam thought everyday. Liam stepped into the home. He wasn't poor, but he wasn't rich either. The floor board creaked when he opened the door.
"Mom, I'm home!..."
He got not response.
Liam went into the kitchen and saw a note sprawled with ink on it.
Liam read the note.
'She won't be back home until seven'
Liam shivered when he read the next line.
'There's been a case of murder...'
"We should join the hockey team" said Jorden, kicking the ball to Liam.
"Why?"
"I don't know, it might fun"
"Ok" Liam replied, kicking the ball back.
The ball skimmed past Jorden and hit a wall on the other side of the field before Jorden could register the event that just took place. The ball burst within a second. 'No human should possess those abilities' he thought, staring at Liam
"I'm not human" Liam said in a trance, as if reading Jorden's mind.
'Such power...' Liam thought, staring back at Jorden.
"I didn't mean to do that" Liam said.
"I know you didn't" Jorden replied, staring at what was left of the soccer ball.
Before their awkward conversation could continue, a group of kids walked up to the companions. Liam and Jorden recognized them immediately. "Look what we have here" said the boy known as Borden. He was one of the junior kids whom he'd stood up to on the first day of school.
And he was out for revenge.
"We're not in school anymore"
A boy behind Broden cracked his knuckles. "Can I beat his ass now, Broden?" he asked, staring at Liam with hatred. Broden smiled.
"Of course..."
And so it began. Liam closed his eyes and waited as he felt himself being grabbed by his collar. Liam was no longer in his world anymore. The second he was to open his eyes, he would no longer have control.
'I need more time' Liam thought.
'I need more time'
I need more time'
Liam waited as he was dragged out of the field and onto the pavement. Liam waited as he was beat down to the ground, the rocky ground tearing his skin. He didn't complain as Jorden stared at him, terrified. He didn't cry nor beg as Broden's fist came in contact with his face. He just closed his eyes and sucked up the pain.
Liam realized the pain stopped. Liam realized his eyes were no longer closed. His body was no longer on the floor, helpless.
'I'm no longer in control'
His conscious mind watched as Broden's friends disbanded.
And he soon realized why.
Broden was lying down on the pavement. He looked as if he was dragged onto the pavement. Broden was beat down to the ground. "Were those the people who you call friends?" Liam asked mockingly.
'That wasn't me' his conscience thought.
"Please, don't-"
But Liam kept on beating him. He didn't stop until Broden's face was battered. Liam didn't meet his gaze as he dealt another blow, this time to his stomach. Liam let the moaning of his enemy fill him with energy.
With his new found strength, Liam started elbowing Broden in his stomach. One after another, until the boy was unconscious. Liam smelt the fear radiate out of Broden.
He didn't stop, he couldn't stop, not until Jorden came running across to him, shouting.
"Liam, stop, you're going to kill him..."
