"He won't tell the police, will he?" Liam asked, trying to catch his breath.
"You nearly killed him!" Jorden asked, ignoring the question. He stared at Liam. He knew he would never look at him the same way again.
Liam was different now.
After the incident, the two boys ran away as far as possible. "I don't know what happened" Liam said, pausing. All he could remember was being dragged and beat. "But I was the one beating him up" Liam thought, confused.
"That's what your mind is telling you to not feel guilty" Jorden said, sitting on the grass. Liam joined him.
"Don't worry about the police. He wouldn't tell a soul what had happened. Not if he wanted to live with the embarrassment of losing a fight with Freshmen like us" Jorden continued, looking up at the sky.
"I'm going home. I can't deal with this anymore" Liam said. He realized he had been losing his patience a bit too much lately.
'The Werewolf instinct inside of me is bringing the violent side of me into the daylight' Liam thought.
"See you around, Jorden" Liam said, walking away.
Liam went home knowing something bad was going to happen. For a split second, it was his Werwolf state thinking. As soon as he fell out of his trance, he forgot all about it.
"Hi, mum" Liam said, going up the stairs.
"Hi-" his mother said, but got cut of as the doorbell rang.
"Who is it mum?" Liam shouted from upstairs.
"Just the postman" he heard his mother's response.
Seconds later, he got a call from Jorden.
"Hey, Liam. My dad just got back from the station. You know Mr Vanil, the teacher who we were supposed to have today?" Jorden was speaking way to quickly.
"Yeah" Liam replied.
"His dead body was found in a lake..."
