When he encounters the elderly man, he instantly appears to be a nice and perfect husband who cherishes his daughter Celeste, since he knows that if Don Zacharias discovers that Celeste is not well with him and that he is physically attacking her, he would remove him from leadership. Despite the fact that he had disowned Celeste as a result of what had occurred at the time, the elderly man's concern and affection for his only child could not be denied.
Celeste could not accept what her father and Orpheus had accomplished to the guy who had done nothing but show her affection and compassion throughout that lengthy period of time because she was still angry to the both of them.
"We are simply looking for Brandon since he hasn't contacted us since yesterday, that's why we are raising our voices because we are anxious, but we are perfectly all right." Orpheus lied while smiling to persuade Don Zacharias he wasn't satisfied yet, and he even approached Celeste and stroked her waist to show the old man that they were alright.
The old man still didn't really believe, so he glanced at his daughter Celeste, who, instead of answering and greeted his father, she turned around instead and walked away. She rushed into the room of her and his husband and sobbed uncontrollably, letting out the tears she had been keeping back.
Thirty years ago...
"However, Yves, our relationship is very deteriorated; we are of different races, and our families are estranged, and I don't want them to harm you. I am sure my father will be angry when they discover that I've fallen in love with you, a mortal who is also a member of the Cacciatrici, one of my clan's deadly adversaries." Celeste's voice sounded sorrowful, and her tears were still streaming at the moment. Now that they've met in a park, Celeste just slips away from her father every night to meet the man she loves the most. She knew what she was doing was immoral and an insult to her people, but she couldn't let her heart be desecrated any longer.
Cacciatrici is mortal warriors who fight Werewolves and Vampires in order to attain universal peace and tranquility for humans alone. They have sophisticated weapons capable of killing vampires and wolves, and they are all capable of attacking even without a dagger. People who have lost a loved one as a result of the deeds of supernatural creatures such as vampires and wolves frequently join this organization.
"We have been together for two years, Celeste, and you still can't fight with me? I was able to turn my back on Cacciatrici only to maintain our relationship; I haven't been able to take over the leadership because I love you even more, even though I knew it would hurt my mother." Yves remarked this and rose up from where he had been seated, ruffling his own hair as though perplexed and troubled by their situation.
"Isn't your love for me reason enough for you to fight for our relationship? We come from an adversarial background, but that isn't going to stop us." Yves spoke again and quickly wiped his teary eyes; he was in excruciating agony and wanted to scream, but he pushed himself to remain cool while speaking with Celeste.
Celeste then got up from her seat and hugged Yves in a backwards hug, conscious of the anguish he usually brought Yves, but she couldn't help but be concerned about what horrible would happen to them by the time his father found out about their connection.
Because his father was killed by a vampire, Yves would have been next in line to his father's leadership. The vampire who killed Yves' father was Celeste's father's brother. Rather of being outraged, his love for Celeste became even stronger; he understood that the lady in his family was different, that she wasn't as horrible as they were.
Yael, Yves' younger brother, suffered much as a result of Yves' withdrawal from his responsibility as well as other obligations to his family. They were just a year apart in age. Yael had a grudge towards her elder brother since he chose to stay with the daughter of the leader of the vampire instead of pursuing vengeance for their father's death. As a result of Yves' leaving from Cacciatrici. He was succeeded by Yael, who was preparing to become a lawyer at the time but decided against it since the responsibility of their group was more important to him. He was able to murder his father's killer and obtain the justice that Yves should have given them.
"I just want to express that I don't want to hurt you, especially now that I am pregnant; my desire is for us to start our own family free of conflict, so I am doing everything I can to pacify my father. Yves—"
Celeste was unable to finish what she intended to say when Yves peered at Celeste with sparkling eyes and a smile that could scarcely believe what she had heard.
"You are going to have a baby? Why didn't you inform me? I am going to be a father?" Yves exclaimed nearly aloud with the pleasure and satisfaction he felt at the time. Celeste was thrilled by his reaction, knowing that when Yves did become a parent, he would be a great father.
She touched Yves on the cheek, then nodded many times with a smile etched on her lips. "Yes, we are going to have a baby. I am eight months pregnant, but it's not visible since I am a vampire." Celeste was giggling as she stated those words, which made Yves chuckle as well.
"I am overjoyed today, especially after hearing the good news you shared; I promise you that I will be a good husband and parent." As he hugged Celeste, Yves stated, his formerly troubled face was transformed by indescribable delight.
"She's a girl; what should we name her?" While Celeste's smile remains engraved on her lips, she also appears to be considering what they would name their child.
"Eva?"
"That name is too used."
"Lydia?"
"That's too old, Yves!"
"Iris?"
"Unattractive."
"Luna?"
"That is a good name, but I would like it if it was longer."
"Penelope?"
"What a nice name, think about others."
"Cassandra."
"What?"
"Let's give her the name Cassandra."
"Nice! That's fine, Cassandra will be her name."
"Celeste!" The conversation between the two was interrupted when a familiar voice was heard that could feel the anger because of the loudness of Cassandra's name being said. Celeste and Yves both glanced at where the voice originating from and were taken aback when they realized where and who it was coming from.
"Papa!" When Celeste saw her father with Orpheus, the guy her father wanted to marry her, she exclaimed as she rose up, her heart quivering with dread.
"What are you doing? You fell madly in love with someone who opposes us, and even the leader of an organization that fights us? You are such a disgrace!" As he drew Celeste's right hand away from Yves, Don Zacharias remarked.
"Please don't hurt her; I love your daughter, and I am happy to protect her. I have no intention of harming Celeste; my love for her is genuine—" When Don Zacharias spoke, Yves hadn't completed what he intended to say.
"Are you aware that she is set to married Orpheus next month? You didn't know about it since she didn't tell you? Stay away from my child if I'm with you, because I'll never allow you into our race!" Don Zacharias screamed as he shoved Celeste behind him, near from Orpheus.
"I adore Celeste, so please allow us love one other. I swear I will not fight against your kind." Yves stated, but instead of Don Zacharias having sympathy for him, he managed to order Orpheus to harm and kill Yves, despite the fact that it was eleven o'clock at night and there weren't many people in the park at the time.
"Stop, please, don't hurt him!" As Orpheus assaulted her son's father, Yves' body was covered in scars and his clothing were covered in blood, Celeste nearly lost her voice shouting those things. Her tears continued to flow as Orpheus attacked her son's father, Yves' body was covered in scars and his clothes were covered in blood.
"Put an end to it! Please don't harm him!" Celeste continued to scream, but Orpheus didn't appear to hear her, and Yves could hardly open his eyes or stand due to his state. Celeste was likewise unable to leave her current location due to her father's grip on her.
"Yves!"
"I have previously warned you that you should never defy me." Don Zacharias stated that Yves closed his eyes at the same time, indicating that he was quite weak, which led to his death.
