Brandon took Casey to a distant province where they were alone in the mountains with no one to recognize them and nothing to talk about. Brandon also considered bringing the woman here because he knew it was fully secure and that he would not see Sullivan, whom Brandon knew as Killian Luther Moreau, and who would not know a renowned and phenomenal lawyer in the world.
"I am going to make sure you and Sullivan never see each other again." He stated as he was having coffee in the middle of the evening when he noticed the girl was soundly sleeping in a spacious room. Even his parents were unaware of this large mansion he purchased five years ago.
He'd bought this house a long time ago because he believed he'd need it someday, and he wasn't wrong. He can't tell his father because he knows he will just kill Casey, which he doesn't want to happen, especially because the lady he's searching for and the one his father is looking for are similar. Casey will put an end to their race and will be able to vanquish and overthrow anybody in the power of the wolves and vampires. Some destined ones have attempted to destroy their sowing of fear, but no one has been successful; nonetheless, the prophesy already states that the strength and ingenuity of the new destined in this century will be far greater than his father, like the other vampires, was terrified about it.
He intends to hide Casey for the rest of his life, where they will form the happy family he has always imagined; this time, he is determined that it will happen because by the time the woman wakes up, she will have forgotten everything about her past, and the only thing that will remain in her mind is that she has a relationship with Brandon, whom he genuinely loves. This is the result of the love potion he recently ingested at the bar.
Brandon is now having problems thinking out how to get out of this issue since he knows his father would not stop until he sees that the woman mentioned in the prophecy is no longer alive. They discover that the child chosen by fate is the daughter of Yael and Vera, the Cacciatrici's well-known former leader, and they discover it in a well where the past and future may be viewed under the tutelage of an elderly fortune-teller. The elderly lady fortune-teller is the finest of all fortune-tellers vampires, despite the fact that she has never made a mistake in prediction. So when they discovered that Yael and Vera's daughter was enshrined in the prophecy, they went after them to assassinate their daughter.
Brandon had no idea that the two had met before he could eventually meet Casey, proving that fate can be manipulated. After a while, he headed towards Casey's bedroom, who was still asleep, and after a while, Brandon's lips etched with a grimace since their paths had finally met after such a long period of searching. Nothing seemed to have altered in the girl's looks in his view; she was still gorgeous and much more so today.
Eventually, he sat down on the chair next to the bed the woman was lying on, he kissed it on the forehead while his attention remained focused on it, and in those moments he was still unable to take his eyes off the woman.
Flashback...
Brandon was nearly overcome with rage when he watched an intoxicated guy break his car's window, shattering it and pelting him with shattered glass. He sprang out of his car and, enraged, used his strength to pursue the man who escaped after shattering his car window. He quickly overtook him due to his speed, and he hauled himself up in the dark corridor, the man's eyes were crimson with rage, and his fangs were on the verge of erupting due to his aggravation.
"Have compassion on me, don't kill me; this is the last time I will do it." The intoxicated man's pleading, if he couldn't open his eyes before due to inebriation, now his eyes are practically popped out owing to the danger he feels.
He couldn't breathe properly due to Brandon's strong grasp on his neck; if a regular person strangled him, he wouldn't be able to breathe and may die for two minutes, but with Brandon, that would only last a few seconds. The life of everyone he strangles would be cut short in less than thirty seconds.
"That won't happen again since this is most likely your final breath," Brandon muttered as he strengthened his grasp on the victim, who then died. His father, the vampire king, severely prohibits the use of their fangs or sharp claws to murder humans. They've been hiding in wolves for a long time because they know the enemy they're evading will emerge from their lair again. because they knew they would be a formidable enemy, even more, difficult than Cacciatrici. They knew that once the wolves discovered they were wreaking devastation, they would hunt them out in order to exact retribution and destroy their kind as well as the Cacciatrici.
Brandon looked at the man who had turned pale due to the tightness of his strangulation and was now lying on the concrete floor in a dark hallway in the squatter area where his father was looking for Meilleure, or the woman who, according to prophecy, is strictly antagonistic to extraordinary living creatures, every century, a Meilleure has been born, and it is distinguished by an etched remarkable red moon behind it.
The Meilleure has a unique power that is beyond the capabilities of comparable non-ordinary creatures, however, the newborn Meilleure is stronger and more powerful than before, and they will not be able to handle it this time. The power of the Meilleures generally manifests itself around the time of a Lunar Eclipse, which occurs once per century. Casey has been chosen as the time's savior, to stand on the side of the people, she is capable of putting an end to the wickedness of Vampires or even Werewolves.
Brandon used his power to increase his speed after seeing the guy fully limp and hearing footsteps, forcing him to be taken from that position immediately and preventing him from being seen or accused of the crime that occurred. Eventually, the area around the corpse of the man he murdered was nearly overrun with people, with police and investigators arriving to examine the tragedy. The young man stood in the distance, staring at his now-broken automobile, the window is nearly no longer able to take advantage of the damage's enormous diameter.
Brandon, on the other hand, drew the attention of a lady who, based on the way she looks and acts, appears to be wealthy and capable of leading a fulfilled life. His gaze never strayed from the woman, especially when he noticed her walking to the house owned by Yael and Vera, which her father had pointed out. He strolled over to where the woman was and stood there waiting to see what would happen.
He was certain that it was Yael and Vera's daughter; even if his father or a descendent had never seen Meilleure's face, they knew it was a woman because that is what the well and the fortune teller showed them; when they last saw the Meilleure in the well, it was a newborn, and they knew the woman was already quite old.
The woman eventually knocked on the door and was dismayed to find no one inside, so she started to leave, but Brandon stopped her route right away.
"Can you tell me what you're searching for? I might be able to assist you." Brandon remarked and then smiled slightly to persuade the woman to say what was on her mind; he wanted to finish what his father was ordered so that her could keep her promise to introduce him to the woman whose name is also Leticia; he wanted to be sure if that was what he was searching for.
The woman abruptly came to a halt in front of Brandon, and at first look, she smiled to herself since he was quite attractive.
"I was just looking for my friend, but she wasn't at their house, so I'm leaving," Sheena remarked, smiling, that she couldn't resist Brandon's flashing eyes' enchantment. Brandon's smile nearly expanded as he realized he was about to meet Meilleure as a result of what he had heard.
"She's the daughter of Yael and Vera, am I right?" Brandon states this, acting as though he isn't sure what he's saying since he already knew the woman's objective was Vera and Yael's home, and that the friend she was talking to was most likely the daughter of Yael and Vera.
"Why did you ask about it? Do you know who Casey is?" The woman inquired, instantly smiling, especially at Brandon, because she now knew Yael and Vera's child's name.
"Yes, she was a college classmate of mine, and I simply wanted to say hi, but she wasn't here." Brandon lied as he examined Yael and Vera's home.
"Would you want to accompany me? Perhaps she is already at my house." He just shook his head in response to the woman's question.
"Just next time, I have a meeting later on; may I know your name?" Brandon strayed from the topic so the woman wouldn't be suspicious or even curious about his character.
"Sheena, and you?"
"Brandon."
When the two of them finished talking, Brandon just waited for Sheena's car to go and then followed it. The smile on his face from those hours could not be erased because he knew what his father had ordered him to do would come to an end. Sheena instantly stopped her car when she noticed she had pulled up to a computer shop, and the crack in her window vanished from his thoughts as long as he could only see Yael and Vera's child. Sheena entered the computer shop and he remained standing in a corner away from the girl, she knew that when she came out, she was with Meilleure.
He smoked initially while waiting for Sheena to emerge; later, Sheena appeared with a woman, but Brandon was too preoccupied with his smoking to notice. Vampires have the ability to hear voices even when they are far away, thus Brandon's attention was drawn to the two's conversation, and he was surprised to see who Sheena was with.
"There's a guy who drives his motor fast, and besides being the cause of my muddy clothes, he almost ran me over. And did you know that instead of apologizing, he actually inquired about my worth?" Casey's cheeks nearly became crimson as she told her friend about those events, and she couldn't stop talking because of the strange annoyance she felt with the man she'd met earlier.
Instead of asking Casey about what had happened to her earlier, she is no longer able to get into what Casey has to say because she has only recently seen and realized during their long acquaintance that her friend is so annoyed with the person she just met, she has done nothing but silently chuckles.
"Only now have I seen you being annoyed like that in your whole life, what does the man you bumped into look like?" Sheena interjects since Casey has finally stopped talking, prompting her to do so as well.
Because of Sheena's question, Casey was almost unable to open her mouth; she knew how the man she had seen previously looked drop-dead gorgeous even she did not see his face clearly, but she would not say it because she was irritated with him.
"He reminds me of the hideous wolf," Casey says something with such emphasis that Sheena looks at her as though taunting her. Perhaps it was due to her hate of the young man that her cheek reddened again as she pronounced those words.
"He is handsome," Sheena affirms that because she knows Casey well, she never says anything negative about anyone, no matter how they looked. She may criticize their behavior, but not their appearance, so Sheena believes that the man her friend was referring to must have been attractive and has caught her attention.
"Sheena—"
"I know you extremely well, Casey." Sheena chuckled and teasingly looked at Casey.
"When I come to your house, I'll also tell you a story about a handsome and dapper gentleman I saw in your area recently," Sheena murmured something and then caressed Casey's other arm, which was already crimson from the excitement she was experiencing.
"Who?" Casey asked
"I will tell you when we get home since you're so excited." Sheena laughed as she walked with Casey to get to her house.
"Finally, I found you, Leticia." When Brandon spotted the woman he had been seeking for, he exclaimed enthusiastically.
