Afterward, Sierra is shown entering their little hut house, where she finds her sister, Acadia, sobbing in front of the table, as if waiting for her. Sierra didn't waste any time and rushed straight to her sister, oblivious to the fact that she had come.
"What exactly is the problem? Why are you crying?" Sierra wondered, her sister's cheek brushed against hers, but when Acadia saw her, she just hugged her, as if she was delighted to see her. The woman was able to just embrace her sister back out of genuine compassion.
"Please accept my apologies if I answered rudely to you previously. I was only overcome by emotion, and I grasped my point more than the worth of what you said. I know you have great difficulty capturing animals, but don't worry, I will understand you now in addition to your dream for the both of us, as long as we're together." As she stated those words, Acadia's voice was full of regret; they had only fought with her sister occasionally, but their misunderstanding did not stay long since they both humbled one other because they only knew each other as their lean and partner in everything.
"I also understand what you're up to, and don't worry, I have found the reason to stay in this place," Sierra stated after they parted from their embrace, "You are my reason to stay here, Acadia." Sierra's persistence prompted her sister to grin, but her smile became taunting as time passed.
"I am already aware of the meaning of those smiles," Sierra said that when she rose from her seat, she knew her sister would reintroduce the young guy named Mauricio, who was a katipunero, a Filipino warrior who assisted in the departure of the Spaniards from their nation. It just happens to dwell not far from where they do. Mauricio has loved Sierra for a long time, but no matter how much he loves her, he can't get her to like him.
"Why don't you make Mauricio your boyfriend? You've known him for more than five years and he was courting you during that period, so I believe his love for you is pure. Aren't you already twenty-seven years old and indeed in the perfect age to marry?" Acadia inquires whether he has considered what she has spoken. She was likewise silent for a few moments as she pondered what her sister had said before resuming her seat next to Acadia and taking a deep breath.
"I am not sure why, but I have a weird feeling about him; every time Mauricio is around, I feel unsafe, as if I'm in jeopardy; I haven't felt good about him since I first met him, and as though he was conversing with me as if he knew me for a long time?" Sierra responded, remembering her first encounter with Mauricio. She was no longer comfortable with the young guy at first, and no matter how much he loved her, she couldn't talk to him for extended periods of time or even like him a bit.
"Perhaps he knew you in a previous life." Sierra locked her gaze on Acadia for a long time, as though she was thinking about what her sister had said.
"Why are you so quiet there? What's more, reincarnation isn't true, thus that's impossible." Sierra's mind is starting to ponder about what scenario Acadia continues, cause to return back to reality
"But what if that's true? We can't say since our memories of the past may be disappearing." Providing Acadia with an excuse to gaze at Sierra and then laugh at her for a long time.
"You know reincarnation isn't true, if so, offer me something you just saw but the impact on you is different as if you've had it for a long time. Isn't it nothing—"
Acadia hadn't even said half of what she had planned to say because Sierra appeared in front of Acadia with a tulip flower that was in five pieces and certainly had a curiously wonderful appeal.
"This, the antipathetic man gave it to me earlier; when he handed it to me, it seemed as if I was hearing voices in my head, but I couldn't figure out what they were." As Acadia wonders, Sierra mentions a cause to gaze at her.
"Are you saying that this flower had a great influence on you in the past and that it had a different impact on you when you saw and touched it earlier?" Acadia made a statement as she took the flower from Sierra's hands; she wasn't sure whether she would believe what her sister was saying or not, so she simply went with what was on her thoughts, which was that maybe it was truly reincarnation.
"Okay, assuming you're telling the truth, who is the man who handed it to you? Perhaps you've come across him in the past." Acadia asked in astonishment.
"The man in his chariot earlier smacked me, forcing me to sit on the floor, therefore he handed it to me because he claimed it was his compensation for my ass who slipped on the floor when he hit me." Sierra's earlier statement about what had occurred to her had prompted her to consider what they were discussing.
"But, aside from being arrogant, he is also a man, therefore it's unthinkable that I met him in a previous life. Have you forgotten that I dislike men? Our mother died because our father abandoned us, and our older brother traded us for a lady who treated us like trash. Our uncle, who took advantage of me, who attempted to molest me, fortunately, that bastard is in jail now."
"Consequently, there is no reason for you to consider all men to be one. All men, like all women, are different. Look for him again; if that's the case, he could have a link to your history. Find him relevant information that can provide him with details; if he's having the same strange experiences as you did when you first saw him, perhaps by the time you recognize him, you will have a memory of your previous life; but that's just based on what I've read; I still don't believe in reincarnation; as others say, 'you only live once.'" Sierra looks at Acadia intently because her long litany makes her question if she should seek the Spanish she met lately or if she should just ignore it since she can't stand talking to that arrogant guy.
However, her pride was so great that she decided to demonstrate that her suspicions about reincarnation were right.
"Fine. I'll seek for that man merely to show that past lives and reincarnation are possible." Sierra got up from her seat to prepare dinner for them, but her attention was drawn to their door when they heard a voice come from there.
"Reincarnation? Why are you talking about that thing?" When Mauricio heard what Sierra was talking about, his voice appeared to alter as soon as he said those things; from the cheerful expression while holding a rose, his heart was instantly converted to a weird sensation.
"Sierra meet a man recently then he gave her a tulip flower, and it was unfathomable that when he handed it to her, Sierra heard voices she didn't know where it comes from. Isn't it true that those are written in the reincarnation book?" Acadia says that now that Mauricio has visited their house to offer Sierra the rose he is carrying, he has become used to doing it every day.
Because of what the girl said, Mauricio's two eyebrows furrowed even more as he stared at Sierra, and he walked straight to where the girl was and violently pulled her arm with all his strength. Mauricio even managed to pull the tulips from the table and crush them until they were completely destroyed.
"Are you aware of Sullivan's whereabouts? You two can't meet, you can't talk to him, do you get what I am saying?! You are no longer able to approach him or even communicate with him—"
While hearing such words, Acadia almost shivered with terror due to the terrible aura of Mauricio, however, Sierra shoved Mauricio hard, prompting him to release the girl's arm, as a result, he was unable to complete what he intended to say, and after wresting herself free from the man's clutches, she slapped him across the face with all her strength.
"Leave my home and don't come right back otherwise I may not know what I can do to you by the time I see you again." As she shouted those words, the girl's voice was full of indignation, and she even managed to gesture towards the door of their house, where the young guy also came from. Even if Sierra is still perplexed as to what and who Mauricio was alluding to, his violence was more prominent in the eyes of the girl which she despised the most.
