"Search for the Meilleure which is Vera and Yael's daughter, for when her power appears, we won't be able to manage it. According to scientists, the total lunar eclipse will occur in three months, and that is the designated moment for her power to emerge. We must kill her before she can kill us, our race." Orpheus made a serious declaration. He is the vampire's leader; his family is filled with powerful and vicious vampires, so it's no mystery that they have been in control for a long time.
"What am I supposed to do if I don't know what she looks like? Where can I look for her?" Brandon, his son, had asked, and most people would describe him as egotistical and haughty.
As he gazed at his father, the young guy sighed.
"I'm busy, I am looking for someone, and I don't have time to look for whatever it is you are looking for." The young guy indicated the reason why Orpheus was enraged with him. The young guy's practically unblinking gaze could be perceived as an indication that he was not terrified of anything his father would do as he tugged the collar of the clothes the young man was wearing and was going to punch him in the face.
"Is the woman you have been looking for since you were a child is more important to you than the woman who poses a serious threat to me and our race?!" Orpheus couldn't believe his son didn't care about what would happen to their breed once the lady acquired power during the total lunar eclipse, and his root was about to burst out of his neck as he shouted those words.
The man was about to change form because of the anger that was now enveloping his entire system, his nails were starting to fall out and his fang was coming out but fortunately, he was able to stop himself and push his son forcefully before taking a long breath.
They are in the office now that they have managed for a long time; it is an orphanage with many children without parents and even family members who have come from the streets. They portray their family as kind and helpful to the public, nevertheless, they are unaware that they are sucking blood from the children till they die, blood is the main food that satisfies them. In a conclusion, they planned to establish an orphanage since they knew that by the time they get hungry, no one would be looking for the people with who they had sucked blood since they were homeless and orphans.
"Orpheus!" A stunning and sophisticated woman had just entered the office where the two of them were working with a loud yell. She was Orpheus' wife, and she had a worried expression on her face when she saw her son Brandon seated on the floor as a result of his father's powerful shove.
The woman reached Brandon swiftly and assisted him in standing up; Brandon was her only child, so her affection and compassion for him were considerable.
"You shouldn't hurt him because he's your son furthermore, there are visitors from well-known corporations who see you outside; all they know is that you are a respectable and a good parent, which they should not be lost in their minds because if it happens, they will lose trust in us, there will be no children to be brought to our orphanage." Orpheus' wife provides a reason to calm the guy down, as he glances out the glass window of their office and observes several of the notable persons who run major foundations peering at their whereabouts. He invited those well-known people because they had significant business matters to discuss, and he also knew that additional children would be cared for at their orphanage as a result of their meeting later.
He let out a long sigh before turning his attention to his wife and son's location. He was even able to assemble the papers that were strewn across his desk before speaking what he needed to say.
"Tell your son that if he doesn't want me to renounce him in our race, he must obey my commands." Orpheus made a serious remark, following which he quickly exited the office with constraint, and the woman named Celeste instantly embraced her son. They even took a close look at the man before he left the office.
Celeste could nearly breathe a sigh of relief at that point, knowing she had calmed down her husband and he went out to look after the individuals he had invited, which he had to do.
"Please, Brandon, follow your father next time; I don't want to see you two arguing; I can't stand it if he hurts you again." Celeste gives her son guidance, but he doesn't appear to be acting on his own. He doesn't appear to be taken everything she said seriously.
"So that there is no ambiguity, I know your father is looking for someone. Find her before everyone else does, and he will be pleased of you." Celeste added the young man's eyes were drawn to her as a result of this.
"Seeing Leticia is more important to me, Sullivan can't go ahead of me because I will die for it. That's all I want to happen, not what my father asked me to do." His jaw clenched when he spoke this, and you can see the tension due to the rage he felt.
"Who is this Leticia you are talking about? I've never encountered a woman with that name, and I know everyone you know, so enlighten me who she is?" Celeste said her voice was full of astonishment and interest. Brandon had always mentioned that name, even if he was just a teenager, and she couldn't help but wonder who it was in the young man's life.
"She is the woman for me, mom. She is." Even though his mother appears to have done nothing except embrace him, he adds that he appears to be losing himself.
"I know a woman named Leticia who is most likely the woman you've been seeking for a long time, so I'll bring her to you, but first you must obey your father's demands." Celeste's deception drove Brandon to look her in the eyes once again; he was convinced that what his mother was saying was true, and this convinced him to alter his mind.
"Fine, I'll do it." He indicated as his mother, Celeste, smiled because she knew it would make his husband, Orpheus, pleased and that it would result in a positive connection between her husband and her son though that is all she'd wished to happen ever since.
He discharged a little glass bottle potion, which was crimson in color and was easily recognized as a magic spell, at the same time as he spoke those words. He fixed his gaze on it until a sinister smile appeared on his lips as if he was plotting something nefarious.
Meanwhile, Casey can be seen preparing dangerous weapons which may kill at a magnificent mansion owned by her friend, Sheena, with anger in her eyes as she prepares those weapons. Sheena had been her friend since high school, and she slept with her after the catastrophe that ruined her life since she knew the men who killed her parents would only hunt for her, and she couldn't be caught because she would still want vengeance.
Meanwhile, Sheena can be seen approaching the room where the girl is, intending to offer her supper, but she is taken aback when she discovers her friend holding different daggers.
"What are you planning to do with those?" "Why are you bringing them? Where are you going to use them?" As she questioned her friend, her voice was full of worry; she knew Casey was so distraught and grieved when her parents died that she was terrified of what the woman may do to get justice for her parents.
"Sheena, I am going to kill the creatures that murdered my parents, they're not ordinary creatures, I believe; they're vampires." She could barely convey the sorrow she was experiencing, she did nothing to save her parents, she was simply a coward, the woman muttered as tears streamed down her face.
"You shouldn't hurry into a choice since your parents will be unhappy if they find out you'll be condemned due to those critters," Sheena claimed that when she hugged the woman, she couldn't help but cry since she understood her friend's deep sadness.
"But I was their target, and that was because of me why they murdered my parents. I was the one they were looking for, but I have no idea why, and that is what I need to know. I am sure my parents are keeping something from me just to protect me from those creatures, but this time they won't have to look for me because I'll come up with a way for us to meet." The girl added that even though she had escaped from their hug, her eyes were still full of yearning if inspected closely, and anybody who saw her appearance today would feel a bit sad for her.
She grabbed the daggers she had put in her backpack, which were likewise more than ten pieces and had different designs and forms when she noticed Sheena was only peering at her face.
"This, I saw it in the back of our house, I dug it in the ground, because just before what happened to my parents, I knew they were hiding something in the back of our house, so I dug before the day they were killed. I saw these daggers, I hid them in my room to examine, and to this day I still have no idea why they are keeping it from me." As she viewed the daggers in her hands one by one, Casey said.
"Whatever their purpose for hiding it, I'm sure it has something to their past, and they may be aware that it's dangerous, so they're doing everything they can to keep you away from the creatures you're referring to. That's why I am concerned about you as well. Casey, I'm frightened you will be hurt, you are like a sister to me." Casey looked at Sheena as though her serious statement was justified, and the doubts in her mind were also solved in some way.
"I promise that I will be mindful," Casey said this while smiling slyly to alleviate her friend's worries.
"I'm sorry if I ever considered hiding in your place to avoid the individuals who killed my parents, it's been almost a week since that occurred, and my parents have already been buried, but I know those creatures still in our home, waiting to see when I will return." As she sat on the bed in the large room where Sheena had put her to rest, Casey murmured.
"As if you are others, you are my friend, and out of all my friends, you are the only one I trusted. I value you so much, and you don't have to bother since I am the only one here, my parents have been in the States since I was in college, right?" Sheena stated this as she sat down next to Casey and gently rubbed her on the back.
"I will be pleased even if you live here for the rest of your life." She added and she gave Casey another excuse to look her in the eyes.
The two have been friends for a long time, and their different states in life haven't hindered them from being close. Sheena is a humble and compassionate young woman who, despite her wealth, has not shied away from being pompous and boastful like their classmates in high school and college. They got friends when Casey stood up for Sheena when she was mistreated due to her looks. Sheena's physique was obese back then, not like it is today, so she was the subject of bullying. Casey stood up for her and made sure she won't receive any insults from those who teased her.
