Chapter 10 - Felice

Both Carren and Jasver now looked much closer than before.

Just imagine the two of them are now casually talking to each other about trivial things that maybe they don't really need to talk about.

"So may I hear the rest of your novel?" Jasver asked who seemed to want to test Carren whether the girl would easily tell him about the novel she wrote or vice versa.

A smile and a light shake of the head Carren gave to Jasver.

"Why not?" Jasver croaked a little to seduce Carren.

"No, I know you're a fan of my novel right? So I as a writer I suggest you, be patient to wait for it, you calm down I will give you a leak that tomorrow I will publish 5 chapters, as an expression of my gratitude for being my friend now."

Seeing Carren's smile, Jasver's heart began to feel moved for the girl.

He really felt happy when Carren said by herself that the girl would publish 5 chapters at once, which means he will be able to quickly read the novel that will be written by Carren and he wants to know if the romance between Nial and Judith will continue or vice versa, and how Carla's love affair for some reason Jasver himself feels that Carla is not a side character that Carren will just let go.

{I thought you would betray me because you have now become close to the person you admire from afar}

Carren restrained herself from replying to Carla's words that sounded cornering her.

Oh come on, how could she say openly about the contents of the novel she is going to make?

Let the novel itself be a mystery to Carren and her mind.

"Okay, I think you will give me a grid of the plot because the last few chapters you made me quite surprised because I thought you couldn't make the plot like that, but in fact I guessed wrong, your new story is quite interesting, it seems You've learned your story from before, I hope your current story can really improve drastically," Jasver said earnestly.

Carren was busy nodding her head. She was happy because this was the first time she had heard from someone else's mouth who actually said that he enjoyed reading her writings.

There is a sense of pride that Carren can feel.

{As my guess is right, he approaches you in giving you a message, because he is the fan of your novel, so you better not be too happy just yet because he doesn't necessarily really like you as much as you like, Carren}

Carren, who was originally really happy with her lips in a perfect smile, slowly began to dim, and she could only justify what Carla said because that's how things are now if she thinks logically with her mind and doesn't rely on her feelings.

"What's wrong? Is there a problem?" Jasver asked Carren.

Carren who heard the question from Jasver's mouth reflexively shook her head.

Of course, she couldn't tell Jasver the truth. A gentle evasion Carren could give Jasver.

"Are you sure? Or is there something you can't tell me?"

This time, Jasver actually narrowed his question, which made Carren a bit speechless, not directly answering the question easily.

Jasver took a deep breath and then said that Carren didn't need to answer it because he had already figured it out himself.

"You're not coming home?" asked Jasver who was honestly a little confused, because when he looked at the clock perched on his hand, it was already 11 PM which means it was late.

Carren, who previously didn't realize the time that was running, finally reflexively glanced at the clock from her cellphone.

"Ah... I just found out it's late, but why didn't the maids here kick me out?"

"Maybe they feel bad that we're still talking together, what if we change places, or do you want to go home?"

For a moment Carren thought quickly. If she had the choice she wanted to tell Jasver to move, it's just that since she and Jasver had just become close friends, then she couldn't say something like that?

Oh, come on Carren still knows herself and of course, knows ethics well.

"I'd better go home, thank you for accompanying me tonight," Carren said to Jasver who got a nod of his head from the young man.

After that, of course, Carren immediately left there, she didn't want to linger there, because it was possible that the young man would linger there waiting for her to come home.

When Carren really came home, then Jasver slowly walked towards the several maids who were there.

"Thank you for taking your time, I will calculate your bonus today," Jasver said slowly, before stepping out of the cafe.

Wait ...

Who really is Jasver?

Of course, he is an editor on one of the big platforms, and he is the owner of several cafes by the name of 'Felice', but not many people know about it!

Some of the maids there just nodded their heads respectfully to Jasver.

"What do you think about the person I like?" Carren asked Carla matter-of-factly.

Carla was silent for a moment as if she was really considering the question from Carren.

"Hey! Can you still really hear my voice?" asked Carren again, slightly doubting her question.

{Tsk, you seem so noisy, just now when you were with Jasver, none of my words were answered, but now you are looking for me}

Carla's tone sounded a little annoyed and sarcastic at the same time.

Carren took a deep breath and rolled her eyes.

"How can I answer you, I don't want if later I'm said to be crazy by him, can't you position yourself like me?" Carren whispered, this time asking Carla back.

Carla took a deep breath. To be honest, she was a little lazy to position herself as someone else, it's just that Carren's words made sense, and before it was true that in the end she was forced to position herself if she was in the same position as Carren and if she faced Jayke, wouldn't she more or less do the same thing?

{Okay, I'm trying to be in your position, I think Jasver is a good person, it's just that if you look at his movements he hides a lot of things, and he's not someone who will really blend in}

Carren was busy nodding her head which Carla's words could not be said to be wrong.

'You are indeed a smart character, and meticulous according to what I made in the novel.'
