Chapter 35 - Chapter 35: Tutorial on How to Feed a Baby!

Rose's POV:

Shortly after discovering the greatness of my uncle, Mira arrived carrying a bowl of... Apple Puree!

She set it down for a bit and positioned me in my feeding pose.

"Grand Duke, the first thing to do is to move the Princess in a sitting position, which is the safer position for eating."

"Okay!" - Mira laid me down again and ushered Uncle to do the same to me.

Even though Uncle's hands are very rough, probably from sword practice, he held me up very gently. His hands are warm and comfortable. He positioned me the same way that Mira did.

"Then, check first if the food is in an appropriate temperature. Touch the bottom of the bowl to check." - She then passed the bowl to my Uncle. And he quickly touched it multiple times! That's a bit...

"Then slowly scoop out a portion of the Puree be careful not to feed too much because she's gonna choke. There's a line in the spoon for this indication." - Mira continued to explain and pointed at the spoon.

Uncle then examined the spoon and scooped an appropriate amount, no more no less!

"Then draw it closer to the mouth, once she opens her mouth, you'll put the portion inside."

I also opened my mouth cooperatively.

"What's next?" - my uncle said, a bit too eagerly.

"Then you'll wait for her to stop chewing and continue the process of feeding that I said."

Uncle offered another spoonful and I also opened my mouth. This happened for about 16 times until I've finished all my food.

"The good thing about the princess is that she's not fussy at all! She's extremely well-behaved." - Mira admiringly explained.

"Yes, she's really a good girl!" - My uncle also nodded approvingly.

"The last thing to do is to make her burp to prevent her from vomiting the her food." - Mira then picked me up and demonstrated the proper gesture.

My uncle also stared with laser-like concentration.

Burp~

Ah! Apple Puree never disappoints!
