In a one-story building situated in a grassy plain, light penetrates the window of a room shining directly on the face of a handsome young man. This young man is Avol.
It has been a few weeks since he and the twins had their first time in bed together and since then they've been going at it like rabbits. At times it would only be one of them having sex with him. Other times, it would be a full-blown threesome.
Today is the day of their graduation, so Avol got up to prepare for it. He went and took a 10-minute shower, quickly came out before going into to wardrobe to get his already prepared suit. It was a royal blue suit with a black suit shirt. He then put on his black designer Brogues. He took a quick glance at himself in the standing mirror before taking his bag and car keys before going downstairs. He locked the door before putting the key in his bag and then going into the garage. He got into the car, started the car and drove out and onto the road. On the way, he picked up the twins.
They reached the graduation venue, got out of the car and then went to find their seats. The ceremony commenced and as usual it was boring, with speeches and talks and advice to the graduating class. Then it was time to give awards. Names were called and the audience applauded. It was finally time to award the valedictorian of the class. When Avol was called, he calmly walked to the stage collected his award and gave his speech before leaving the stage.
The ceremony went on till the end and they moved on to the venue of the after-party where they partied until night, although Avol and the girls kept to themselves. After the party, Avol had to practically drag both of them to the car to get them home before making his way home too.
And, so his life went on. He took over his family business when he turned twenty-three and it took him six months of reallocating resources and taking decisive actions to deal with the internal conflicts in the Lancaster family.
Currently, Avol was in his office at the top of a high-rise building going through some documents and signing others. He then dropped the pen and stretched his limbs before twirling his chair to face the outside of the building.
As he was relaxing, he saw the silhouette of what he thought was a bird coming at him with high speed. He ignored it since he thought it was just that, a bird. It wasn't until he noticed it not changing directions that he looked back at it. He immediately noticed that an airplane was coming his way, directly where his office was. As an avid fan of anime, manga, manhwa and the likes, he noticed that this was the legendary plane-kun, the older sibling of truck-kun, who is quite low-key and doesn't cause too much trouble, coming at him. His eyes widened comically before he regained his bearings and made a dash towards the door. Alas, how can plane-kun miss such a talented individual after a long time of being on leave. It crashed, into the top floor of the building, taking away just the top floor with it just as Avol had taken three steps. Surprisingly, no one in the building was harmed, that is aside Avol, who was folded like an omelet by the wing of plane-kun. Brother didn't even know if his body survived the crash.
In a certain hall, filled with statues, were people looking and dressed like priests, were reciting incantations, when suddenly before the hall was filled with bright light, causing everyone present to either squint or close their eyes until the light died down.
After the light was fully gone, in its place were a group of teenagers, seventeen in total. Each one had a look of confusion on their face.
As they began orienting themselves, a middle-aged man in regal robes then spoke to them.
"Welcome, young heroes to this world. My name is Regan von Discorria, The Prime Minister of the Artemia Kingdom. I understand that most of you are confused as to why you appeared here suddenly, but please remain calm as that will be explained to you in a moment." When he finished saying this, he
then scanned to room with his eyes to analyze the different reactions of the summoned ones. Some had the look of panic or fear, while some were putting up a confident front. Avol, though had a "WTF" look as he had seen this so many times in the isekai troupe of Japanese anime, manga and light novels/fanfictions. He immediately adjusted his expression back to a slightly scared one, so as not to attract unwanted attention to himself. He only hoped that he would at least have a good starting point in this new life of his, rather than be like some MCs from some light novels that started with trashy job classes, which attracted unnecessary ridicule and attention.
The man then continued speaking.
"You have all been summoned here with the help of the Goddess of Light, Arya, to fight against the treacherous demons. At first, we thought to only summon a single person who met the criteria for being a hero, but then we decided to summon him along with his comrades, to aid him on his journey to defeat the demons. So, we summoned all sixteen of you." The man then noticed something amiss.
"Eh? It seems there was an issue with the summoning and we mistakenly summoned an extra person. But no worries. Everything shall be sorted out. You will all be given accommodations and tomorrow, you will be shown around the palace as well as briefed on your duties as heroes.
Any questions?" He then paused for a moment waiting for any response. A single boy raised his hand and asked.
"Em… is there a way to go back? No everyone is combat oriented or willing to do this." After he spoke, there were a series of muttering from the students. Avol just observed the students, figuring out which of them he should avoid and who was more reliable to work with.
After the boy spoke, Regan's eyes flashed a brief look of annoyance because the boy had caused the other students to come out of their childhood fantasies of saving the world. But it quickly went away before he answered the boy.
"Yes. But that is only possible in ten years as the summoning ritual needs immense resources which obviously cannot be recovered in a short time. After ten years, the resources will be gathered and it may be possible to send you back to your world." No one except Avol noticed the sly vocabulary that Regan used to avoid more questions when he used the word "may" rather than "will".
The man then continued.
"But before any more questions are asked, you will all be given status plates. Status plates show the numerical analysis of your physical body as well as your specialty, class and title. This will help us to know which direction to guide you towards during training."
