[Welcome back Jegan]
It was the first thing he saw as soon as he opened his eyes. There was nothing explanative, and his body was still aching.
"Arghh"
He groaned and shook off his body which was burdened by some external force.
"Raak!"
A shriek of a monster entered his ears. His vision which was blurry slowly retained back.
"I am still alive?"
He questioned himself after noticing the searing sun which shone in the untainted sky. The very next moment the dwarf monster, the dead eater pounced onto his face. He reflexively pulled it from his upper body and threw it to a distance.
"Damned monster!"
He commented and began studying his surrounding.
"I am in the same place..."
He uttered.
There was no misinterpretation from his side. It was indeed, the Warfield where he was killed. But the surprising matter is that he is still alive and there are no corpses around him except the countless dead eaters encompassing the area.
It was the moment he was struck with the notion that there are more than hundreds of dead eaters lying dead amidst countless human bones.
He also noticed the reason for the aching. There were traces of bite marks on his body however the most concerning factor was that he was stark naked.
His eyes meandered around for a while until a piece of cloth caught his eyes. He immediately grasped and wore it while being on guard as he noticed a few dead eaters surrounding him in a circle.
"What in the world?" He frowned.
The last time he woke up he was hanging on the cliff called death and even fell into it but, now he woke up again in a similar scene but this time the dead eaters were wary of opposing him as their eyes excluded a sense of trepidation.
"Blood poison?"
He deducted instantly. There was no other reasoning to conclude other than that. The Blood poison is something very lethal to the once exposed to them and the dead eaters that tried to devour his flesh must have been exposed to it. This was the only possible reasoning.
However, those weren't concerning him. The first thing that unnerved him was that he didn't find any wounds inflicted by a sword or arrows on his body. Last time he was in a horrid state but now he seemed better.
"Regeneration."
He Muttered.
"Why do I possess such traits?"
He questioned himself.
Raising his body from the pile of bones he began walking towards the dead eater anxiously.
"Firstly I need to find information about my identity."
"Wrr!"
Though the dead eaters growled at him they didn't attack him as though they instinctually knew that fighting him was not beneficial. Their kin tried feasting on him and died trying to ingest his flesh meanwhile his body continuously regenerated.
Dead eaters are intelligent creatures but they surely are not something that'll defy the unnatural. They paved the way whilst staring at Jegan.
Jegan, the awakened man was not in his best condition to oppose these vile beasts rather he had several questions arising inside his mind. He was in a barren land. A place, scarce of any food supply or water and it seemed to be infected with this swarm of monsters. The barren land, the withered trees, and the dreadful scent of the dead were a perfect place for the evil to reside.
"I have to move to a more populated area... How can I open the void?"
As he thought the golden window appeared.
The void was the only clue he ever had the last time he woke up.
"So void will open when I want it to appear?"
He deducted.
[Survival Manual]
[Jegan's journal]
[Scorching Tiger]
There were two books and a dagger inside the golden window.
His situation wasn't peaceful enough to pull out the books and read, so he selected the scorching tiger.
[Scorching tiger]
[Description: A Dagger that is made from the spine of Tundra, the beast mentioned in the myth and folktale of Kadvul Nadu. The creator of this otherworldly weapon is unknown.]
[Element attached: Eternal fire]
"Element attached? A Dagger made from the spine?"
He muttered pulling it out.
The dagger was in full white and the grip's design was extravagant, lastly, the sharpness could leave a deep cut if they slightly smoothened on its edge which was coated in red also there were a few cracks like designs merged on the blade in red, highlighting its unique design. It seemed as though some painted the image of lightning on it.
"The void is more like a space to carry things... Huh? Where in the world does these store up?"
He thought and swung the dagger a few times as he noticed the dead eaters trailing on his back.
"I thought they were wary of opposing me."
He mumbled and turned towards them holding the dagger. The dead eaters are vile creatures that hold grudges until their death. they'll always find a way to kill their enemy even if takes years. this is why people destroy the dead eaters to their spirit or kill them.
Jegan is a foe they couldn't kill even after trying to devour him for several months. Contrarily their kin died in the attempt to make him perish. As a result, they harbored a grudge on him and began to observe him until he dies and bring misfortune to his life from time to time.
This was information Jegan didn't know. As soon as he turned those vile creatures scattered. He quickly turned back and began walking through the barren land.
The more he walked the more bones and rotten flesh, he found on his path. The land was lifeless. As a lone man, he traveled through the land for an hour through the unending path accompanied by the dreadful beasts.
Unlike his expectation he wasn't attacked so, he immediately opened the void and pulled the survival manual and the Jegan's Journal.
He took a seat under a withered tree and opened the book placing the dagger next to him as he noticed the dead eaters still observing him from the distance.
"Jegan's journal... I believe this is my name but, what did I do to deserve such death?"
He thought and opened Jegan's journal since he was in the dark he wanted to amass more knowledge about his past.
