I open my eyes and he is still next to me. I don't even know when I fell asleep but everything is so amazing right now.
"Hey," he breathes out with a smile on his face.
I find myself smiling and I am sure I look very cheesy right now but I am happy--oh I am so happy with him at this moment.
"You keep drifting in and out of consciousness, are you okay?'' he asks me, and that smile is replaced with concern.
I know what is wrong.
II have lost a lot of blood in one day and I need to replace it with someone else's but we have to get to the community first and maybe Colm would have some available.
"I am great, just tired.''
He raises a brow "You sure about that, because I want us to start the journey back to the compound. I need to sort things out and get to stop all this shit.''
