"I knew that man was trouble," I exclaim after I end the call. Lanis looks up from the book he is reading and furrows his brows. He is the only one that has been calm through this. When I noticed that Colin left with his brother, I wanted to drive to the shadow pack, I wanted to drag him by his collar back home but Lanis didn't think it was a good idea.
He seems to think that they can handle themselves but now I am not so sure. An alpha was killed and even if it was self-defence there will still be raised questions.
People don't like Lowell. No one trusts him and this will just buttress their thoughts. I might be able to convince a couple of packs but I don't know if I will be able to convince them all.
