I don't know why I decide to pour all this out to my best friend, but she is here, and I have always been able to talk to her about things. Tala might not be the same person she was three years ago, but she is still my family, she is still my best friend and I know that I can count on her.
"What are the dreams about?" she asks.
I take a deep breath because those dreams have been haunting me for weeks now and I have kept them to myself because I don't want them to haunt Lowell too.
"Have you ever thought about the direction your life could take if you do things differently?"
She nods "I think about that all the time."
