Tala
It feels like I am on some sort of mission. Usually, it is easy for me to talk to a boy but I have this thing where I hate to deceive people. I would rather just call it like it is and right now, that is not what I am doing.
I am outside the compound, looking around. I haven't even seen Rek today. He is never in plain sight anyways but right now; I want to see him. I look up and there is a guy, just sitting there and he seems to be watching me.
I wait for him to make eye contact, smile, wave, nod, shake his head, to turn away. I want him to acknowledge me but he doesn't. I want him to say something but instead, he just stares.
He is seated on the ground with his legs crossed and he seems to be picking at the grass. I don't know why it fascinates me that he is doing this but I can't seem to take my eyes off him.
How come I haven't seen this boy before?
