Divine Weapons have ranks, similar to leveling.
Starting at Rank 0 Level 0, progressing up to Rank 10 Level 10. The higher the rank and level, the more and higher-grade magic stones you need.
Leveling looks kinda like this useing the Water Staff as a referenc:
I'm useing the Water Staff as a reference but the body stats gained changes based on weapon type. So the numbers are subject to change.
From Rank 0 to Rank 2, leveling and ranking increases by a factor of 2 by the base of the previous rank.
For the needed exp, it doesn't increase during leveling, only when one ranks up because it would take too long as getting magic stones is not easy.

Rank 0 gives +1 to all stats per level up, and ranking up gives +4 to all stats.

Rank 1 gives +2 to all stats per level up, and ranking up gives +8 to all stats.

Rank 2 gives +4 to all stats per level up, and ranking up gives +16 to all stats.
From Rank 3 to Rank 5, everything increases by a factor of 3 by the base of the previous rank.

Rank 3 gives +12 to all stats per level up, and ranking up gives +48 to all stats.

Rank 4 gives +36 to all stats per level up, and ranking up gives +144 to all stats.

Rank 5 gives +108 to all stats per level up, and ranking up gives +432 to all stats.
From Rank 6 to Rank 8, everything increases by a factor of 5 by the base of the previous rank.

EXP: 0/24,000.
Rank 6 gives +540 to all stats per level up, and ranking up gives +2,160 to all stats.
Rank 6 is what most rankers are stuck at because of how much exp is needed and how hard it is to get magic stones.
