Anda sighed and resumed her explanations. "Sometimes I wonder if inequality is somewhat to blame for the rebellion of some of our men. Often, they choose to forget their lineage and live with humans instead, and even forget our magic."
"I can't blame them. I'm here for the same matter."
She mentally rolled her eyes. 'Coward'.
Anda murmured, "Maybe our male members felt diminished as they became a tinier fraction of our congregation. They were still a crucial fraction of the guard, however, and we depended on them to labour the farmland aboveground. There aren't many men in supervision duties in our community anymore. I can't blame those who wanted to leave and went to the nearby towns."
"Good, so didn't you say that the men revolted because they were getting anxious? Because humans have been hunting your kind? And your women aren't labouring fast enough to cast a spell to fight them off?"
