At midnight, Damian and Anda began their journey out of the cavern with the elders' permission.
They travel at a human pace to avoid being detected by the demon armies. After all, Damian had fled the underworld and defied his so-called calling. He would be a target.
The two agreed to go to the nearby town to look for Mora, and after that, they would go to the sacred forest. Anda thought it would be their best recourse if they wanted to close the portal as soon as possible.
After an hour of an isolated voyage, came the dawn. The two were led to a small, old, deserted cabin to rest. The sunrays promised by the starlit sky passed through the leaves, moss, and softened rock. They did not worry much because this part of the mountainside was devoid of humans. Damian sat down on the small wooden bed and thought that he had better not lie down or he would pass out instantly.
