Grant Callahan
Grant walked into the sitting room, and an eerie silence greeted him. The kids were away at school for some sort of practice and so they weren't here to welcome him. It was a good thing they were not in at the moment. He needed to have a deep conversation with Kenzie, and he had a feeling it was going to get ugly. He didn't want his kids to witness whatever way his conversation with Kenzie would end.
Grant went into the bedroom he shared with Kenzie, but she was nowhere to be found. He wondered if she had gone to the office. But it was the weekend. She shouldn't have any business with the office unless it was very urgent. He opened the closet and stuffed his gym bag in it, then he took off his shoes and padded across the floors barefooted. He needed a drink of water and so he went to the kitchen.
