Sutton Price
She sat in her office that overlooked the parking lot. Sutton tried to relieve the stress being in the classroom had caused her. Her eyes immediately went to the print of the battle of Nike, which hung on the east side of the office. Eighteenth century and modern day books lined the shelves on the west side. She had a reading lamp on one shelf and a wall shelf of awards on the other side of it. A coat hanger stood very close to the door. Her desk had a lot of books on it and a computer at its centre.
This was her safe zone. It served as a contemplative space for reading, writing, and deliberating and as a place to interact with students and fellow academics.
