Chapter 21 - 21. Getting Annoyed

"You...,"

"No need to say much more!" interrupted Dean so that Jasmine could no longer speak.

Jasmine didn't expect to see Dean again, and she hoped this would be her last. She couldn't imagine what it would be like to meet a man like him every day.

Dean sat Jasmine in the front seat of his car, and then he closed the car door. After that, he sat down and started his car engine at high speed towards the hospital.

Jasmine remained silent during the journey, the pain in her heart beating the pain in her right leg. She re-imagined all the tenderness and things Caesar had done to her.

However, why could Caesar easily do all that to other women? Was it all this time just a game or a trap for her? So many questions ran through her mind, and she again wondered what exactly Caesar's goal in approaching her was?

The streets look congested, and this is what Dean dislikes the most when he is in Jakarta. Things couldn't go according to what he had scheduled, which irritated him even more.

"What took you so long!" murmured Dean.

Jasmine stared ahead, and she felt terrible for having changed Dean's schedule. However, she still felt annoyed because Dean's attitude seemed cold, and she didn't care about her surroundings.

"You can drop me off here after that you can go back to your work," Jasmine said to Dean.

Dean was just silent, and he didn't say anything. For him, leaving a hurt woman was not the right thing to do. The road started a little smoother, and Dean immediately increased the speed of his car. Moments later, they arrived at the hospital.

Jasmine opened the car door, and she was about to walk and enter the hospital. Dean just wanted to see how strong she was. Sure enough, Jasmine couldn't move her legs. She nearly fell, and Dean came back to help her.

"Don't pretend to be strong when you're weak!" Dean said as he carried Jasmine back.

Dean walks into the hospital, and a nurse assists Jasmine with a wheelchair.

However, Dean ignored her. He still carried Jasmine and asked where the doctor who could help with a sprained leg problem was.

The nurse immediately showed me a room. Dean immediately followed the nurse. He sat Jasmine on a bed.

Not so long ago, a doctor arrived and immediately examined Jasmine. Jasmine was dealt with quickly.

It turns out that it needs to be handled more seriously. The doctor said that it did not sprain Jasmine's leg.

The doctor also suggested x-rays. Jasmine thought that her leg was severely injured.

"Just do it, Doctor!" said Dean firmly.

The doctor ordered a nurse to take Jasmine to the X-ray room. The nurse swiftly brought a pushchair and then helped Jasmine sit on the chair. After that, the nurse took Jasmine to the X-ray room. After doing an X-ray, Jasmine is waiting for the results.

A few moments later, the results were received by the doctor. The doctor immediately gave directions to his assistant to put a cast on Jasmine's leg. After doing everything, Jasmine came out with two nurses who pushed the bed into an inpatient room.

The doctor said he had to be in the hospital for a few days.

Jasmine was already sitting on the hospital bed with her leg in a cast. She saw Dean still in the room sitting on the sofa.

Dean looks annoyed every time he gets a call or message from his cellphone.

"Go. I can still take care of everything myself," said Jasmine, who couldn't stand Dean's attitude.

"Go… that's all you said earlier!" said Dean.

She was hearing what Dean said made Jasmine take a deep breath. She couldn't understand the man in front of her. If she weren't Diana's older brother, maybe by now, Jasmine would have let out all her emotions. Such as yelling, berating, and even expelling him.

Moments later, Diana arrived, her breath panting as if she had been running because a demon was chasing her.

"What's wrong with you? You look like you've just been chased by a ghost?!" Jasmine asked Diana.

"Not being chased by a ghost! But I feel like I'm being chased by a demon!" Diana replied as she glanced at Dean.

"It's up to you what you want to call me!" said Dean as he walked out of the room.

Jasmine chuckled when she saw Diana and Dean as she watched the man leave. She looked at her friend, who was trying to catch her breath.

"How are you?" Diana asked as she walked closer.

"The doctor said that I should stay in the hospital for a few days," Jasmine replied.

"Don't worry, your parents went out of town and I don't know when they'll be back," Diana continued.

"How did you know that? I just as the daughter don't know?" Jasmine asked.

Diana chuckled at Jasmine's jealous expression. It made her even more excited to tease her best friend.

"Because they love me more, so tell me where they went," Diana teased Jasmine.

She was hearing everything Diana said made Jasmine even more annoyed. Jasmine didn't talk much anymore, and she looked sullen, which made Diana chuckle even more.

"Stop your laughing!" said Jasmine.

Diana also stopped laughing, she looked at her best friend, and she felt very fond of Jasmine. She didn't want to see her best friend suffer because of a jerk.

She would do anything to protect her best friend because Jasmine was both a friend and a sister to her.

"You have to learn to forget that asshole and start your new life with a man who is better than him," Diana said.

Jasmine's cell phone vibrated, someone called her. Diana looked at the cellphone screen with Caesar's name on it.

She felt annoyed at the sight of the name, and she wanted to insult the man. However, Diana couldn't possibly scream here because it could wake Jasmine up.

Diana walked to the balcony then she picked up the call from Caesar. She listened to what Caesar had to say, and Diana was sick of hearing it.

"Stop your disgusting speech. Heed my words, stay away from Jasmine because she will soon marry a man who is better than you!" Diana said to Caesar.
